Teat for a baby product
A teat for a baby product comprises a flexible wall which is collapsible and has first and second protrusions disposed on an inner face thereof. When a force is applied to the wall, portions of the wall are brought proximal to one another and a protrusion is arranged to contact the inner face of the wall.
Nipple and Nipple Assembly
A nipple for use with an infant drinking cup is disclosed herein. The nipple comprises a domed portion having a central region and an inner surface, a teat portion radially offset from the central region, and a radially-outer wall. The radially-outer wall is joined to the domed portion at a joining location and comprises an inner fluid-flow surface, defining a fluid flow direction. A region of the inner surface of the domed portion at the joining location is substantially parallel to said fluid flow direction, or the inner fluid-flow surface of the teat portion extends radially outwardly, away from said region of the inner surface of the domed portion at the joining location.
Baby bottle system
A baby bottle system including a bottle assembly and a detachable unit. The baby bottle system is configured to enhance a baby's feeding routine, simulate a baby's cognitive and emotional development, and prevent nipple/bottle confusion. The detachable unit includes an opening to receive an end portion of a baby bottle and a compartment for receiving an accessory that stimulates one or more of the senses of the baby.
Nipple-shaped pacifier kit
A nipple-shaped pacifier kit provides hypoallergenic molding powder, liquid silicone, a mixing bowl, a mixing tool, pacifier rings, and paper discs, each providing a slit for the insertion of the pacifier ring. The kit enables the adult user to create one or more pacifiers shaped like the human nipple.
NON-INTRUSIVE BREAST MILK MONITORING
Certain embodiments are directed to methods, apparatuses, and systems for providing accurate, non-intrusive measurement of breastfeeding. The embodiments described herein are used during the normal breastfeeding routine and measure the volume of breast milk transferred in real time. The device is lightweight, disposable, and does not interfere with the milking mechanisms used by infants. The device provides a more accurate monitoring of infant nutrition and peace of mind for mothers.
FEEDING NIPPLE SYSTEMS FOR CLEFT PALATE OR LIP
An apparatus including artificial nipple for feeding a baby who has a cleft in its palate region. The artificial nipple includes a palate region to define a region facing the baby's palate during use, and the nipple having a tongue region to define a region facing the baby's tongue during use. The palate region is less compliant than the tongue region to both mimic the hard palate and reduces unwanted movement of the nipple, making it easier for the infant to use his or her tongue to expel fluid from the nipple. The tongue region includes a feeding slit, which maybe U or V shaped, from which liquid maybe discharged without risking nasal congestion. The tongue region may further include a soft protrusion, that assists the peristaltic like tongue movement helping the baby feed, and may extend laterally to reduce the risk of nasal congestion. Additionally, the apparatus may include an interchangeable flow device to be used with the nipple that controls or regulates the flow of liquid to be adjusted for the needs of the child.
METHOD AND SYSTEM OF PRODUCING A TEAT PRODUCT
The present disclosure provides a method for producing a customised teat product for a subject, the method includes the initial step of performing a 3D scan of at least a nipple region of the subject's breast to create a 3D model of the nipple region. In the next step, a 3D product model for a teat product is created, incorporating a teat that corresponds in shape to at least the nipple region of the subject, based on the 3D model of the nipple region. In the final step, a physical teat product is generated based on the 3D product model using an additive or subtractive manufacturing apparatus.
Feeding device and methods using the same
Briefly, a feeding device embodying features of the present invention approximately conforms to the shape of a human breast and includes at least one housing for storing fluid coupled to a dispensing portion having an apertured dispensing tip for delivering the fluid to an infant.
NIPPLE AND NIPPLE ASSEMBLY
A nipple or teat, particularly a nipple for attachment to a container. The nipple comprises a breast portion having a central region, and a latch portion extending from the breast portion, the latch portion comprising a teat portion and an areola portion. The latch portion is radially offset from the central region of the breast portion and includes an outer wall. The outer wall of the latch portion includes a first region having a first wall thickness and a second region having a second wall thickness, wherein the second wall thickness is less than the first wall thickness. A nipple assembly, feeding assembly and comforter assembly, each including the nipple or teat, are also disclosed.
CUSTOM-MADE ARTIFICIAL NIPPLE
An artificial nipple is formed of an elastomeric polymer by use of 3D printing after imaging of a mother's breast in an active state of lactation. The artificial nipple used as an attachment to a baby bottle or as the nipple component of a pacifier. Use of an artificial nipple formed in this manner mitigates a problem with nipple confusion, as may otherwise manifest in newborn offspring.
