Disclosed apparatus comprises: a radiation detection panel in a housing, for detecting incident radiation as an electrical signal related to a radiation image; a support base in the housing and located on a side opposite to a radiation incident surface, for supporting the radiation detection panel from a back surface side; an internal structure in the housing and disposed on the back side surface of the support base; and fixing members in the housing, for fixing the internal structure to the support base, the difference in the radiation shielding efficiency between at least one of the fixing members and the support base is less than 50%, and when viewed from a radiation incident direction, a sheet like member having a radiation shielding efficiency of 50% or more is not arranged on a region on the back surface side of the radiation detection panel overlapping with the fixing member.

X-RAY DETECTORS WITH PLASTIC HOUSINGS

Some embodiments include an x-ray detector, comprising: a plastic housing including a conductive coating; a two-dimensional sensor array disposed in a within the plastic housing and configured to generate image data in response to incident x-rays; a front plate connected to the plastic housing, the front plate and the plastic housing forming an enclosure surrounding the two-dimensional sensor array; wherein the conductive coating and the front plate form at least part of an electromagnetic interference shield around the two-dimensional sensor array.

Detector array for a radiation system, and related system

A detector array for a radiation system includes a radiation detection sub-assembly, a routing sub-assembly, and an electronics sub-assembly. The routing sub-assembly is disposed between the radiation detection sub-assembly and the electronics sub-assembly and includes one or more layers of shielding material. For example, the routing sub-assembly may include a printed circuit board having embedded therein a shielding material configured to shield the electronics sub-assembly from at least some radiation. In some embodiments, the shielding material defines at least one opening through which a conductive element(s) passes to deliver signals between the radiation detection sub-assembly and the electronics sub-assembly.

A radiography apparatus includes a substrate on which a pixel region in which a plurality of pixels that accumulate charges generated in response to incident radiations are arranged is formed on one surface of a flexible base material, a housing which accommodates the substrate and includes a front portion having an incident surface through which the radiations are incident on the substrate, a first buffer layer which is disposed between the front portion and the substrate in a thickness direction of the housing, the first buffer layer having an outer circumference provided inside the pixel region of the substrate in a plan view, and a structure which is disposed between the front portion and the substrate in the thickness direction at a position overlapping with the first buffer layer.

Provided are a scintillator screen manufacturing method, a scintillator screen and an image detector. The manufacturing method comprises the following steps: making a crystal column scintillator layer (4) on the predetermined surface of a flexible substrate (1); making a moisture-proof layer on the periphery of the flexible substrate (1) on which the crystal column scintillator layer (4) is formed; making an X-ray absorption layer on the other surface of the moisture-proof layer except the surface for receiving X-rays; and making a protective layer (5) on the outer surface of the X-ray absorbing layer and on the surface of the moisture-proof layer for receiving X-rays.

Structured detectors and detector systems for radiation imaging

Detector module designs for radiographic imaging include first and second layers of scintillator rods or pixel arrays oriented in first and second directions. The first and second directions are transversely oriented to define a light sharing region between the first and second layers. Encoding features may be disposed in, on or between the first and second layers, and configured to modulate propagation of optical signals therealong or therebetween.

A radiation detection device includes a circuit board, a light receiving sensor having a light receiving region and a plurality of circuit regions, an FOP, a scintillator layer, and a plurality of wires. The FOP includes a first portion facing the light receiving region and fixed to the light receiving sensor, a second portion facing the circuit region while separated from the light receiving sensor, and a second portion facing the circuit region while separated from the light receiving sensor. The second portions are integrally formed with the first portion. One end of the wire is connected to the circuit region in a region between the light receiving sensor and the second portion, and one end of the wire is connected to the circuit region in a region between the light receiving sensor and the second portion.

An image sensor includes a multitude of photodiodes and analog-to-digital converters disposed in adjacent first and second portions of a semiconductor substrate. The photodiodes exhibit X-ray radiation tolerance. An arrangement of several image sensors in adjacent rows can be used for an X-ray detector in a computed tomography apparatus.

A digital radiographic detector includes a planar multi-layered core with a two-dimensional array of photo-sensitive cells. A five-sided, integrally formed, rigid enclosure having one open side is configured to receive the multi-layered core through the open side. The planar multi-layered core comprises a foam layer having a recessed pocket on one major side thereof shaped in the form of a metal ground plane positioned in the recessed pocket.
