An easily assembled SC connector, comprising a tail sleeve, an outer frame sleeve, a fixing piece, a limiting piece, a tail pipe, a stop ring, a press-inserting core tail shank, a spring, a metal ring, a ceramic inserting core, and a dustproof cap. During assembling, the tail pipe is sleeved in the tail sleeve in an interference fit, then the metal ring is fixedly connected to the press-inserting core tail shank by means of injection molding, and the stop ring and the limiting piece are fixed by means of injection molding. The injection molding has a simple production process and low costs. The whole assembly process is simple, and automatic assembly can be achieved. In addition, the present application only needs to directly extend a needle for dispensing glue into the center of the press-inserting core tail shank.

High fiber count pre-terminated optical distribution assembly

Embodiments of a furcated optical fiber cable are provided. A main distribution cable has optical fibers surrounded by a cable jacket. The optical fibers are divided into at least two furcation legs. A furcation plug is located at a transition point between the main distribution cable and the at least two furcation legs. The furcation plug surrounds at least a portion of the main distribution cable and each of the at least two furcation legs. Optical connectors are provided for each of the at least two furcation legs, and each connector includes optical fibers that are spliced at a splice location to the optical fibers of the connector's respective furcation leg. The splice location is closer to the connector than to the furcation plug. A method of furcating an optical fiber cable and a pulling configuration for the furcated optical fiber cable are also provided.

FIBER OPTICAL CONNECTOR WITH CABLE RETENTION FEATURE

A fiber optic connector includes a ferrule holder configured to receive a ferrule that terminates an optical fiber cable, a connector sub-assembly configured to receive an optical fiber cable and to hold the ferrule holder, a connector body configured to hold the connector sub-assembly, a shroud configured to encircle the connector body, and a housing configured to encircle a portion of the shroud. The connector body is configured to include a first mating member and a second mating member. The first mating member is configured to include a cantilevered flange, and the second mating member is configured to include a groove on an inner surface of the second mating member. The cantilevered flange is configured to engage with the groove to securely fasten the first mating member with the second mating member.

ULTRA-SMALL FORM FACTOR OPTICAL CONNECTORS USED AS PART OF A RECONFIGURABLE OUTER HOUSING

An optical connector holding one or more optical ferrule assembly is provided. The optical connector includes an outer body, an inner front body accommodating the one or more optical ferrule assembly, ferrule springs for urging the optical ferrules towards a mating receptacle, and a back body for supporting the ferrule springs. The outer body and the inner front body are configured such that four optical ferrule assembly are accommodated in a small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceiver footprint or eight optical ferrule assembly are accommodated in a quad small form-factor pluggable (QSFP) transceiver footprint. A receptacle can hold one or more connector inner bodies forming a single boot for all the optical fibers of the inner bodies.
