Stabilized stannous compositions
10912722 · 2021-02-09 · ·

The present invention relates to improved complexes of amorphous calcium phosphate and/or amorphous calcium fluoride phosphate stabilised by phosphopeptides/phosphoproteins by addition of stannous ions. These complexes have anticariogenic properties useful to protect tooth structures as they remineralize (repair) early stages of dental caries and have other dental/medical applications (including anti-calculus, anti-erosion/corrosion and anti-dentinal hypersensitivity). Methods of making the complexes of the invention and of treatment or prevention of various dental conditions including dental caries, dental calculus, dental erosion/corrosion and dental hypersensitivity are also provided.

DENTAL COMPOSITION COMPRISING A PARTICULATE CARRIER SUPPORTING A COINITIATOR

The present invention relates to a dental composition comprising a photoinitiator system comprising a particulate carrier supporting a coinitiator covalently bonded to the surface of the carrier. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a use of the particulate carrier in a dental composition.

The particulate carrier displays multiple covalently bonded tertiary amino groups and/or tertiary phosphine groups on the surface, for crosslinking monomers, oligomers and/or polymers having one or more polymerizable double bonds.

Bondable microcapsules and surface functionalized fillers

A composition comprising microcapsules functionalized with polymerizable functional groups on the surface of said microcapsules wherein the functional groups form covalent bonds with monomers in the continuous phase to enhance the mechanical properties of the composition.

A dental tool is provided which is capable of delivering an oligosaccharide containing composition to an oral biofilm, which can prevent and inhibit periodontal disease and in particular to devices and methods which mechanically and chemically disrupt biofilms formed by S. mutans.

Compounds, Compositions, and Methods for Treating And/Or Preventing Periodontal Disease

A method of treating or preventing periodontal disease in a subject comprises administering to the subject an inhibitor of ecto-nucleotide pyrophosphate/phosphodiesterase-I (ENPP1). An ecto-nucleotide pyrophosphate/phosphodiesterase-I (ENPP1) inhibitor and pharmaceutical compositions for use in treatment or prevention of periodontal disease or for increasing cementum formation are also disclosed.
