Telecommunications cabinet with connector storage
A housing including a plurality of openings for receiving fiber optic connectors and protecting the polished end face of the connectors from damage while the connectors are stored within a telecommunications connection cabinet. A module with a plurality of optical fiber cables connected to a first optical fiber cable and terminated by a fiber optic connector. Each of the connectors are inserted within openings in a connector holder for storage and protection until the cables need to be connected to a customer equipment cable.
Sealing enclosure arrangements for optical fiber cables
Pairs of windows are cut into a distribution cable at various points along the length to couple some of the optical fibers of the distribution cable to drop cables. A wrap-type sealing arrangement can seal a first window of each pair. An enclosure-type sealing arrangement can seal a second window of each pair. The enclosure includes a splice tray and cable storage. Optical adapters and/or a passive splitter also may be disposed within the enclosure.
Access terminal box
An access terminal box pertaining to the field of communications technologies. The access terminal box includes a protective cover, a base, an adapter, a fastening plate, and a base plate, where the base is fastened on the base plate, the fastening plate is fastened on the base, the protective cover is fastened on the base and covers the fastening plate, a fastening slot is disposed on the fastening plate, and the adapter is fastened inside the fastening slot. The fastening plate is disposed, and the adapter is separately mounted on the fastening plate, such that space of the base is more compact, and a volume of the access terminal box is reduced.
Cable spool and storage
Systems and methods of dispensing telecommunications cable from a network component are provided. A system includes a housing, an axle, and a spool. The housing defines an interior region and includes a cable storage portion and a mounting surface defining a receptacle. The axle is configured to removably attach to the receptacle. The spool is configured to be disposed on the axle, and has a first flange proximal to the mounting surface and a removable second flange distal to the mounting surface when the spool is disposed on the axle. The spool has a drum portion configured to support a coiled fiber optic cable and dispense the fiber optic cable as the spool rotates on the axle. Undispensed cable can be removed from the spool with the second flange removed. The cable storage portion of the housing is configured to receive the undispensed coil.
Metro cell aggregator enclosure
A telecommunications aggregator enclosure includes a housing and a cover movably connected thereto. The cover is movable between open and closed positions. A printed circuit board is disposed in the housing. At least one first optical termination is connected to the printed circuit board to receive cables from a base station router. At least one second optical termination is connected to the printed circuit board to receive cables from at least one metro cell. A power supply module is connected to the printed circuit board to supply power thereto.
STACKED OPTICAL FIBER STORAGE COMPARTMENT
The present invention relates to a stacked optical fiber storage compartment formed to receive optical fibers, facilitate the connection of optical fibers and optical jumper cords, and facilitate the arranging and grouping of optical fibers. The stacked optical fiber storage compartment according to the present invention comprises: a compartment body including a main body portion having a receiving space and an open upper portion, and an opening and closing cover pivotably coupled on the main body portion to open and close the open upper portion of the main body portion; and an optical fiber connecting unit installed on the main body portion to receive and connect the respective optical fibers withdrawn from each of the tubes for optical cables extending into the compartment body. The optical fiber connecting unit comprises: a support plate mounted on the main body portion; connecting tube storing trays pivotably coupled through a hinge shaft to the support plate, and having optical connecting tube storing portions for connecting optical fibers; first and second keeping trays disposed at both sides of the respective connecting tube storing trays and including first and second keeping receiving portions that keep optical fibers or optical jump fibers and support same; and an optical fiber connecting unit installed on the support plate, and having an optical jump fiber when an optical fiber supported on the first keeping tray or the second keeping tray is jumped to a connecting tube storing tray from among the tube storing trays.
TELECOMMUNICATION ENCLOSURE HAVING INTEGRATED TERMINATION TOOLS
A communication enclosure is described that includes an enclosure body having a first body portion and a second body portion. An adapter mounting mechanism is disposed in the first body portion, and a connector adapter mounted into the mounting mechanism that is configured to accept an optical fiber connector. The enclosure includes at least one integrated tool for terminating field mountable optical fiber connectors wherein the at least one integrated tool is disposed on one of the first body portion and the second body portion. In an exemplary aspect, the at least one integrated tool is a connector polishing platform.
Rapid deployment indexing terminal arrangement
A fiber optic distribution terminal includes a cable spool rotatably disposed within an enclosure; an optical power splitter and a termination region carried by the cable spool; an optical cable deployable from the enclosure by rotating the cable spool by pulling on a connectorized end of the optical cable; and splitter pigtails extending between the optical power splitter and the termination region. One fiber of the optical cable extending between the connectorized end and the splitter input. The other fibers of the optical cable extend to a multi-fiber adapter.
FIBER OPTIC CLOSURES AND SUPPORT STRUCTURES AND ASSEMBLIES FOR FIBER OPTIC CLOSURES
Closure-mounted support structures and associated assemblies for supporting fiber optic management devices within a fiber optic closure defining a closure volume. The support structures are adapted to receive and hold axially distal portions of protection tubes that hold and protect portions of optical fibers as they are routed through the closure volume, and also to support optical fiber management trays into which the optical fibers can be routed upon exiting the protection tubes.
Optical Fiber Distribution System
A cabinet unit for use in an optical fiber distribution system may include a housing having a cavity, a plurality of extension portions contained within the housing, each extension portion being adapted to support an adapter for receiving cables aligned lengthwise with the extension portion, and a support structure formed on an inner surface of the housing, each extension portion being mounted to the housing by the support structure and extends away from the inner surface of the housing. The plurality of extension portions may be hingedly coupled to the support structure. A clearance between two adjacent extension portions of a given support bar may be configured to be adjusted by rotating the adjacent extension portions along their respective hinged connections.
