The invention relates to a compound of formula I,

A wavelength-tunable etalon includes a pair of substrates, each comprising a reflection layer, an electrode, and an alignment layer on opposing surfaces of the pair of substrates; a first seal line configured to seal liquid crystal between the pair of substrates; and a second seal line configured to divide a space in which the liquid crystal is sealed into a main liquid crystal accommodating space configured to pass laser and a sub-liquid crystal accommodating space provided external of the main liquid crystal accommodating space. The first seal line comprises a sub inlet configured to fluidly communicate the main liquid crystal accommodating space with the sub-liquid crystal accommodating space.

A wavelength-tunable etalon includes a pair of substrates, each comprising a reflection layer, an electrode, and an alignment layer on opposing surfaces of the pair of substrates; a first seal line configured to seal liquid crystal between the pair of substrates; and a second seal line configured to divide a space in which the liquid crystal is sealed into a main liquid crystal accommodating space configured to pass laser and a sub-liquid crystal accommodating space provided external of the main liquid crystal accommodating space. The first seal line comprises a sub inlet configured to fluidly communicate the main liquid crystal accommodating space with the sub-liquid crystal accommodating space.

Liquid crystal is prevented from leaking out into a terminal hole in a liquid crystal injection process, and the productivity of a liquid crystal light control device is improved. A liquid crystal light control device according to the present technology includes a plurality of liquid crystal layers, terminals provided for respective electrodes disposed to face each other across the liquid crystal layers, and terminal holes formed above the terminals, and an injection mark of a liquid crystal for the liquid crystal layer is formed on a back face side which is a face on a side opposite to a face that has been opened by the terminal hole.

A liquid crystal capsule includes: a shell; and a liquid crystal molecule in the shell, wherein a critical surface tension of the shell is smaller than a critical surface tension of the liquid crystal molecule. Further, the liquid crystal molecule includes a nematic liquid crystal and the shell includes polytetramethyldisiloxane. The liquid crystal capsule also includes an additive in the shell and the additive has a critical surface tension smaller than that of the liquid crystal molecule.
Liquid crystal display device including liquid crystal capsule and method of fabricating the same
A liquid crystal capsule includes: a shell; and a liquid crystal molecule in the shell, wherein a critical surface tension of the shell is smaller than a critical surface tension of the liquid crystal molecule. Further, the liquid crystal molecule includes a nematic liquid crystal and the shell includes polytetramethyldisiloxane. The liquid crystal capsule also includes an additive in the shell and the additive has a critical surface tension smaller than that of the liquid crystal molecule.
