Process cartridge and image-forming method
Provided are a process cartridge and an image-forming method each of which has a satisfactory cleaning property even at the initial stage of the use of a brand-new process cartridge or electrophotographic apparatus, and hence can suppress a reduction in image quality due to the contamination of a charging member. The charge transporting layer of an electrophotographic photosensitive member contains a specific polyarylate resin or polycarbonate resin, and a toner contains a specific fine particle on the surface of a toner particle.
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTOSENSITIVE MEMBER, PROCESS CARTRIDGE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a conductive base and a single-layer-type photosensitive layer on the conductive base. The photosensitive layer contains a binder resin, a charge generation material, a hole transport material, a fluorine-atom-containing electron transport material, and fluorine-atom-containing resin particles. An amount of the charge generation material in the photosensitive layer is 0.5% by weight or more and less than 2.0% by weight. The charge generation material has a distribution that satisfies Formula (1): 30a/b in a thickness direction of the photosensitive layer where a and b are as defined in the specification, and b may be 0. The fluorine-atom-containing electron transport material has a distribution that satisfies Formula (2): 30c/d in the thickness direction of the photosensitive layer where c and d are as defined in the specification, and d may be 0.
Electrophotographic photosensitive member, process cartridge, and electrophotographic apparatus, and method of producing electrophotographic photosensitive member
An electrophotographic photosensitive member including a surface layer, wherein the surface layer comprises a fluorine atom-containing resin particle, a binder material, and a polymer having a specific structural unit represented by the following formula (1): ##STR00001##
In formula (1) R.sup.11 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R.sup.12 represents a single bond or a methylene group, Rf.sup.1 and Rf.sup.2 each independently represent a perfluoroalkylene group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, or a perfluoroalkylidene group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and Rf.sup.3 represents a perfluoroalkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms.
