PHOTOSENSITIVE BODY FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME

The present invention provides an electrophotographic photoreceptor including a photosensitive layer containing an electron transport material, and having high pressure resistance and suppressed occurrence of a leak phenomenon, a method for producing the same, and an electrophotographic device using the same. The electrophotographic photoreceptor includes an electrically conductive support containing an aluminum alloy; an anodic oxide film formed on a surface of the electrically conductive support; and a photosensitive layer formed on the anodic oxide film. The photosensitive layer contains an electron transport material having an electron mobility of 10.sup.7 cm.sup.2/V/sec or more when field intensity is set to 20 V/m. The surface of the electrically conductive support having the anodic oxide film formed thereon has an admittance value that is 25 S or more and 60 S or less.

An electrophotographic photosensitive member including a support, a charge generation layer, a charge transport layer containing a charge transporting material, and a protective layer, in the order presented, wherein the charge transport layer contains a polycarbonate resin having a structure selected from a group A and a structure selected from a group B, and the protective layer includes a cured material of a composition containing a compound having at least a functional group selected from chain-polymerizable functional groups and sequential polymerizable functional groups.

An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a conductive substrate and a single-layer photosensitive layer. The photosensitive layer contains a charge generating material, a hole transport material, an electron transport material, an additive, and a binder resin. An optical response time is in a range from 0.05 milliseconds to 0.85 milliseconds. The optical response time is a time from irradiation of a surface of the photosensitive layer charged to +800 V with pulse light having a wavelength of 780 nm to surface potential decay of the photosensitive layer from +800 V to +400 V. An optical intensity of the pulse light is set so that the surface potential of the photosensitive layer becomes +200 V from +800 V after 400 milliseconds from pulse light irradiation of the surface of the photosensitive layer charged to the +800 V. The additive includes either of both an ultraviolet absorbing agent and an antioxidant.

An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer having a single-layer structure. The photosensitive layer contains a charge generating material, an electron transport material, and a binder resin. The polyarylate resin includes at least one type of repeating unit each represented by general formula (11), at least one type of repeating unit each represented by general formula (12), and a terminal group represented by general formula (13). In general formula (13), R.sup.f represents a chain aliphatic group substituted by at least one fluoro group. An electrophotographic photoreceptor comprises a conductive support and, at least a photosensitive layer on the conductive support, wherein the photosensitive layer includes a polyarylate resin and the polyarylate resin has a repeating structure represented by formula (1), and the amount of bisphenol residues represented by formula (3) after the polyarylate resin is hydrolyzed, is 0.2% to 1%, in terms of intensity ratio, based on the total amount of bisphenol residues represented by formula (2) and formula (3) after the polyarylate resin is hydrolyzed, the bisphenol residues being detected with a gas chromatograph employing a hydrogen flame ionization detector (FID).

The photosensitive layer has an absorption coefficient of 0.008 or less at a wavelength of 1000 nm and contains a binder resin, a charge generating material, an electron transporting material, and a hole transporting material. The charge generating material is at least one selected from a hydroxygallium phthalocyanine pigment and a chlorogallium phthalocyanine pigment and is contained in an amount of 0.9% by weight or more and 1.8% by weight or less relative to the binder resin.
