METHODS FOR THE TREATMENT OF PERI-IMPLANTITIS
The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions and methods for the treatment of peri-implant diseases, in particular peri-implant disease characterized by the destruction of the crest of the alveolar bone supporting the implant. Specifically, the method comprising the step of applying to a peri-implant bone displaying crestal resorption a 5 pharmaceutical composition comprising biocompatible bone augmentation material coated with a matrix composition which provides local controlled and pro longed release of at least one pharmaceutically active agent at the bone loss site.
Use of bone adhesive for apical sealing a tooth root canal
A method and kit for the apical sealing an tooth root canal and for improving root canal fillings are described. Also described is a method for using bone glue as an apical stop for obturating root canals.
PREPARATION AND FULLY COMPOUNDED STOCK FOR USE IN MEDICAL OR DENTAL APPLICATIONS, MEDICAL OR DENTAL PRODUCT AND USE AND PREPARATION THEREOF
According to the invention, a preparation is described which contains at least one calcium compound selected from the group consisting of calcium phosphates, calcium fluorides and calcium fluorophosphates and hydroxyl derivatives and carbonate derivatives of these calcium salts, calcium hydroxides and calcium oxides precipitated using at least one protein component selected from proteins and protein hydrolysates, and at least one crosslinking agent for the protein component and/or non-set cement.

DENTAL AND ENDODONTIC FILING MATERIALS AND METHODS
Disclosed are endodontic filling materials and methods. A method for filling a dental root canal may include providing a hydrosetting filling material and inserting the hydrosetting filling material into the dental root canal, the material setting in the root canal to form a biocompatible filling. The hydrosetting filling material comprises a hydrogel former and a filler. The hydrogel former is at least one of a reactive organic hydrogel formers, an inorganic hydrogel formers, and a non-reactive organic hydrogel formers, and the filler is at least one of a self-hardening and a non-hardening filler. Plural filling material precursor compositions that collectively contain hydrogel formers and fillers may be provided.
MONOLITHIC BODIES OF SINTERED CHEMICALLY BONDED CERAMIC (CBC) BIOMATERIAL PREPARED EX VIVO FOR IMPLANTATION, PREPARATION AND USE THEREOF
The present invention generally relates to the use of pre-formed bodies of Chemically Bonded Ceramics (CBCs) biomaterial for implantation purposes wherein the bodies are prepared ex vivo allowing process parameters to be optimized for desired long term properties of the resulting CBC biomaterial. More particularly, the pre-formed CBC material bodies of the present invention are sintered. The pre-formed body of CBC material is machined to the desired geometry and then implanted using a CBC cementation paste for fixation of the body to tissue. The invention also relates to a method of preparing pre-formed bodies of CBC biomaterial for implantation purposes, methods of preparing an implant thereof having desired geometry, and a method of implantation of the implant, as well as a kit for use in the method of implantation.
Compositions and methods for adhesion to surfaces
Provided herein are compositions and their methods of use to adhere (e.g., in wet and dry environments) a variety of materials together.

Hydraulic cement-based implant material and use thereof
The invention relates to implant materials that are based on hydraulic cements in the form of one or more pastes, suspensions or dispersions that contain mineral and/or organic and/or organomineral solids and that react, when combined or when reacted with an aqueous liquid, to a solid in a cement-type initiation reaction. The invention also relates to the use of these materials as technical, medical-technical and/or pharmaceutical products, especially as bone cements, bone replacement materials, bone glues, dental filling materials and implantable active ingredient carriers. The implant materials according to the invention in the form of one or more pastes, suspensions or dispersions that contain mineral and/or organic and/or organomineral solids are formulated in an excipient liquid in such a manner that the pastes, suspensions or dispersions are stable in storage at normal conditions over a prolonged period of time and that they react, when combined with an aqueous liquid or when added to an aqueous liquid, in a cement-type initiation reaction and set to a solid. The excipient liquid of the mineral paste, suspension or dispersion is substantially water-free, and water immiscible or insoluble or hardly soluble in water in the chemical sense.
