IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS FOR REGULATING REMOVAL OF DEVELOPER STORAGE PORTION, REGULATION METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes a release processing portion, a regulation processing portion, and a second restriction processing portion. The release processing portion releases regulation on removal of a developer storage portion when a storage amount of developer stored in an image forming portion is equal to or smaller than a second threshold smaller than a first threshold. The regulation processing portion regulates removal of the developer storage portion when the storage amount of the developer stored in the image forming portion is larger than the second threshold and removal of the developer storage portion has not been regulated. The second restriction processing portion imposes restriction on processing of the regulation processing portion when the regulation on the removal of the developer storage portion is released and a restriction condition is satisfied.
POWDER CONTAINER, POWDER SUPPLY DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
Provided is a powder container having a new structure capable of stable discharge and transport of a powder contained in a container by enabling the powder to be reliably discharged to the outside of the package while preventing the powder from spilling and flying out of the container. The powder container has a container body (138) for transporting powder contained therein from a first end side (138a) to a second end side (138b) thereof by self-rotating; a nozzle receiver (139) having a nozzle receiving hole (insertion section) (139a) arranged inside the second end side of the container body and configured to allow a transport nozzle (162) having a powder receiving inlet (170) to be inserted therein, and a supply port 139b arranged in at least a part of the nozzle receiver (139) and configured to supply the powder in the container body (138) to the powder receiving inlet (170): and a shutter (140) supported by the nozzle receiver 139 and configured to open and close the nozzle receiving hole (insertion section) 139a by sliding in response to insertion of the transport nozzle 162 into the nozzle receiver (139).
DEVELOPER SUPPLY CONTAINER AND DEVELOPER SUPPLYING SYSTEM
A developer supply container for supplying a developer through a developer receiving portion displaceably provided in a developer receiving apparatus to which said developer supply container is detachably mountable includes a developer accommodating portion for accommodating a developer. The developer supply container also includes an engaging portion, engageable with the developer receiving portion, for displacing the developer receiving portion toward the developer supply container with a mounting operation of the developer supply container to establish a connected state between the developer supply container and the developer receiving portion.
IMAGE-FORMING APPARATUS PROVIDED WITH URGING MEMBER FOR URGING PROCESS CARTRIDGE
An image-forming apparatus includes: a main body; a toner cartridge having a first opening; a process cartridge having a photosensitive drum and a second opening; a positioning part; a transfer unit; and an urging member. The toner cartridge and process cartridge are attachable to and detachable from the main body in an axial direction of the photosensitive drum. The positioning part and transfer unit are positioned above the process cartridge attached to the main body. The positioning part fixes the attached process cartridge in position relative to the main body. The urging member urges the attached process cartridge toward the positioning part and urges the process cartridge such that the toner can be supplied from the toner cartridge to the process cartridge through the first opening and the second opening when the toner cartridge and the process cartridge are attached to the main body.
Toner conveying apparatus having orthogonal toner conveying paths and image forming apparatus
A toner conveying apparatus conveying toner used for image forming includes a first conveying portion to convey the toner and having a first screw and a first conveying passage forming member that forms a first conveying space, and a second conveying portion to convey upward the toner and including a second screw and a second conveying passage forming member that forms a second conveying space. The second conveying passage forming member has a connecting port connected to the first conveying passage forming member. The second screw overlaps with the first screw viewed in a direction of a rotational axial line of the first rotation shaft. A cross-sectional area of the first conveying space orthogonal to the direction of the rotation axial line in a second region is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the first conveying space orthogonal to the direction of the rotational axial line in a first region.
Print material transfer mechanisms
Example implementations relate to an apparatus to transfer a quantity of print material to a printing device through a transfer mechanism. In some examples, the apparatus includes a container including the quantity of print material, a transfer mechanism associated with the container, and a sensor associated with the transfer mechanism. In some examples, the sensor is to communicate to the printing device information about the transfer of the quantity of print material through the dispenser mechanism.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: a photoconductor that rotates about a first axis; an exposure portion that includes a substrate that includes a plurality of light emitting portions for exposing a surface of the photoconductor, and a support portion for supporting the substrate, and that moves between an exposure position where the photoconductor is exposed and a retracted position where the photoconductor is retracted from the exposure position; and a rotational member that has a second axis along the first axis, and that moves the exposure portion between the retracted position and the exposure position by rotation about the second axis.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: a rotatable photoconductor; an exposure portion including a substrate on which a plurality of chips each including a plurality of light emitting portions that emit light for exposing the photoconductor is mounted, and a support portion configured to support the substrate; a fan configured to generate an airflow for cooling the exposure portion; and a duct configured to communicate with the fan and to communicate with the support portion to guide the airflow generated by the fan to the substrate.
Toner conveying apparatus having a light transmission portion
A toner conveying apparatus includes a frame body, a conveyance member, a light transmission portion, a light emission portion, a light reception portion, and a rubbing member. The frame body forms a conveyance passage surrounded by a wall portion and is provided with a reception inlet for receiving toner from outside. The conveyance member is provided in the conveyance passage and rotates around a first rotation axis to convey the toner. The light transmission portion that is provided in the wall portion and has translucency. The light emission portion emits light toward an inside of the conveyance passage through the light transmission portion. The light reception portion receives the light emitted from the light emission portion through the light transmission portion. The rubbing member rubs on the light transmission portion by being rotated around a second rotation axis extending in a direction crossing the first rotation axis.
Toner storage apparatus
A toner storage apparatus to which a toner cartridge is mountable by being moved in a moving direction includes a toner storage frame that has a reception port and a seal attachment surface, stores toner supplied from the cartridge via the reception port, and has a protrusion from the attachment surface, and a seal portion that is attached to the attachment surface, has a rubbing surface that rubs against the cartridge when the cartridge is moved in the moving direction, and has a communication hole with the reception port. At least part of the protrusion is inside the communication hole and upstream of the reception port in the moving direction. An end of the protrusion is closer to the attachment surface than the rubbing surface in a direction perpendicular to the attachment surface. The seal portion contacts an outer peripheral surface of the protrusion extending in the perpendicular direction.
