IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a controller, a drive unit, a developer bearing member, a regulation blade, and a sheet member. During non-image forming, the controller executes a control mode for controlling the drive unit to rotatably drive the developer bearing member in a second direction opposite to a first direction, and then rotatably drive the developer bearing member in the first direction. A portion above a horizontal line passing through a tip of the regulation blade out of the sheet member is disposed in a moving path of a developer born by the developer bearing member when the drive unit rotatably drives the developer bearing member in the second direction in the control mode, and is not disposed in the moving path of the developer born by the developer bearing member when the drive unit rotatably drives the developer bearing member in the first direction during image forming.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member, a developing apparatus, a driving device, an airflow space portion, a duct, and, a drawing fan. A driving-force transmission member, the driving device and the airflow space portion are disposed on a side on which a developer container faces the image bearing member. The driving-force transmission member, the driving device, the duct and the drawing fan are disposed on one end side of a developing rotary member in a rotation-axis direction of the developing rotary member. The duct is disposed underneath the developer container, formed from the side on which the developer container faces the image bearing member to a side opposite to the side on which the developer container faces the image bearing member. The drawing fan is disposed on the side opposite to the side on which the developer container faces the image bearing member.
Image forming apparatus capable of supressing toner remaining in an outer region of a photoconductor
An image forming apparatus includes: a photoconductor; a charging roller; an exposure device; a developing device that is provided on a downstream side of the charging roller in a rotation direction of the photoconductor, and forms a toner image by supplying toner to a latent image; a cleaning blade that is provided between a transfer part of a surface of the photoconductor located on a downstream side of the developing device in the rotation direction of the photoconductor and the charging roller, and removes residual toner adhering to a part of the surface of the photoconductor on a downstream side of the transfer part; a lubricant supplier that supplies a lubricant to the surface of the photoconductor; and a voltage controller that controls a charging voltage to be applied to the charging roller.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF SUPRESSING TONER REMAINING IN AN OUTER REGION OF A PHOTOCONDUCTOR
An image forming apparatus includes: a photoconductor; a charging roller; an exposure device; a developing device that is provided on the downstream side of the charging roller in the rotation direction of the photoconductor, and forms a toner image by supplying toner to the latent image; a cleaning blade that is provided between a transfer part of the surface of the photoconductor located on a downstream side of the developing device in the rotation direction of the photoconductor and the charging roller, and removes the residual toner adhering to a part of the surface of the photoconductor on a downstream side of the transfer part; a lubricant supplier that supplies a lubricant to the surface of the photoconductor; and a voltage controller that controls a charging voltage to be applied to the charging roller.
Developer supply container
If a user is not familiar with the operation for the developer supply container, the rotating operation for the developer supply container may be insufficient, so that developer supply container does not reach a predetermined operating position, with the result of abnormal developer supply. by increasing a rotation load of a second gear 6 which is in an operable connection with a drive gear member 12 of the developer receiving apparatus 10 by a function of a locking member 7, the developer supply container 1 mounted to the developer receiving apparatus 10 is rotated toward the supply position. After the developer supply container 1 rotates to the supply position, the locking by the locking member 7 is released, by which the rotation load applied to the second gear 6 is reduced, so that drive transmission, thereafter, to the feeding member 4 for developer supply is smooth.
Developing roller, developer, and image forming apparatus
A developing roller includes: a magnet roller including a roll part with a magnetic pole; a cylindrical sleeve that houses the magnet roller; a first flange connected to one end of the sleeve; a second flange connected to another end of the sleeve; a conductive shaft connected to a side of the second flange of the magnet roller; a first bearing that supports the first flange so that the first flange rotates relative to the magnet roller; and second bearings that support the second flange so that the second flange rotates relative to the conductive shaft. The second bearings are conductive, and are disposed at different positions along an axial direction of the conductive shaft.
Image-forming apparatus including cam and cam follower for moving developing roller toward and away from photosensitive drum
An image-forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum, a developing roller, a cam, a switching mechanism, a cam follower, and a controller for controlling the switching mechanism to control rotation of the cam. The cam is rotatable to move the developing roller between a contact position in contact with the photosensitive drum and a separated position in separation from the photosensitive drum. To maintain the developing roller at the contact position after being moved from the separated position, the cam is rotated to move the cam follower from a first holding surface to a second holding surface of the cam through a second guide surface, and is stopped rotating to hold the cam follower in contact with a first guide surface of the cam at a position closer to the first holding surface than to the second holding surface.
DEVELOPING DEVICE, PROCESS CARTRIDGE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A developing device includes a developer conveyer, a bearing, a flange, and a developer mover. The developer conveyer is rotatable and configured to convey a developer. The bearing rotatably supports a support shaft of the developer conveyer. The flange is disposed at an end portion of the developer conveyor to regulate a movement of the developer in an axial direction of the developer conveyer. The developer mover is disposed on a surface of the flange facing the bearing and configured to move the developer that enters between the flange and the bearing.
