Heater and fixing apparatus
A heater includes an insulator substrate, a heat generating section in which a plurality of divided regions are formed in a longitudinal direction on a first surface of the insulator substrate, electrodes formed at both end portions of the heat generating section to correspond to the plurality of divided regions, and electric conductors connected to at least one of the electrodes and formed over a surface different from the first surface of the insulator substrate.
Image forming apparatus including a plurality of heat generating elements
An image forming apparatus includes a fixing device having a heater, a first temperature detection unit, a pair of second temperature detection units, a pair of first sheet-width detection units, a pair of second sheet-width detection units, and a control unit. The heater includes a first heat generating element, a second heat generating element having a length smaller than a length of the first heat generating element in a longitudinal direction, and a third heat generating element having a length smaller than the length of the second heat generating element in the longitudinal direction. The control unit controls a temperature of the heater based on a detection result of the pair of first sheet-width detection units, a detection result of the pair of second sheet-width detection units, and a detection result of the pair of second temperature detection units.
Imaging system with gloss treatment device
An imaging system with a gloss treatment device includes an endless belt, a heating portion and a pressing portion. The endless belt conveys a medium along a conveyance direction. The heating portion heats the endless belt. The pressing portion presses the endless belt against the heating portion. A nip is formed in a region where the endless belt contacts both of the pressing portion and the heating portion. The nip includes an upstream end and a downstream end in the conveyance direction, and a reference line intersects the upstream end and the downstream end of the nip. The endless belt includes a conveyance portion that is inclined toward the heating portion, in relation to the reference line associated with the nip.
Heating device with an obliquely disposed blowing unit and image forming apparatus
A heating device includes a heating unit that heats in a non-contact manner an upper surface of a transport material that is transported, and a blowing unit that blows air against a lower surface of the transport material via a blowing hole that is provided in an opposing surface opposing the lower surface of the transport material, the opposing surface being obliquely disposed with respect to a horizontal direction.
Transport device and image forming apparatus
A transport device includes a transport unit that transports a sheet-like transport material without holding a one-end-side portion of the transport material in a transport direction; and a blowing unit that blows air against a lower surface of the transport material that is transported by the transport unit via multiple blowing holes that open with respect to the lower surface, an arrangement interval of the multiple blowing holes in the transport direction being inconstant in the transport direction.
Cooling device, image forming apparatus and image forming system
A cooling device for cooling a recording material on which a toner image is fixed includes: a rotatable feeding belt configured to feed the recording material by rotation; a rotatable member configured to nip and feed the recording material in cooperation with the feeding belt; and a heat sink contacting an inner peripheral surface of the feeding belt. The feeding belt contains a fluorine-containing resin additive.
Cooling device, fixing device, and image forming apparatus
A cooling device cools, with air, a heating member having a longitudinal direction. The cooling device includes a blower, an air duct, and an air-volume varying mechanism. The blower blows the air. The air passes through the air duct. The air duct has a first opening to which the air is supplied by the blower, a second opening to face a portion of the heating member, and a third opening to face another portion of the heating member. The air-volume varying mechanism changes an air volume of the air discharged from the second opening and the third opening.
Image forming device
An image forming device includes a transfer unit that transfers a toner image onto a recording medium that has first and second surfaces and is conveyed in a conveyance direction; a main heating unit arranged downstream of the transfer unit in the conveyance direction, and which contacts and heats the recording medium and fixes the toner image onto the recording medium; a reversing unit that reverses front and back of the recording medium having a first toner image fixed onto the first surface; and a preheating unit arranged between the transfer and main heating units in the conveyance direction and that heats the recording medium having a second toner image transferred onto the second surface. The preheating unit heats the recording medium so that a temperature of the first surface is lower than a softening point of a toner before the recording medium is heated by the main heating unit.
Imaging system with cleaning member for endless belt
An imaging system includes: an endless belt, a tensioning member, a heating member, a pressing member, a cleaning member. The endless belt conveys a printing medium. The tensioning member tensions the endless belt. The heating member heats the endless belt. The pressing member presses the endless belt against the heating member. The cleaning member is located outside the endless belt, between the tensioning member and the heating member, and presses the endless belt inwardly.
RECORDING MATERIAL COOLING DEVICE
A recording material cooling device includes a belt, a plurality of rollers, a belt cooling member, a recording material feeding member, a deposited matter removing member, a deposited matter receiving container, a roller holding member, and a supporting member for supporting the roller holding member so as to be swingable between a first position where the belt and the recording material feeding member contact each other and a second position where the belt is spaced from the recording material feeding member. The supporting member supports the roller holding member so that a swing center is positioned on one end side with respect to a rotational axis direction of the rollers. The receiving container includes a wall surface portion for preventing overflow of the deposited matter received through an opening of the receiving container when the roller holding member is positioned in the second position.
