Heating device, fixing device, and image forming apparatus
A heating device includes a heater that includes a heat generator configured to generate heat as the heat generator is supplied with power. A feeding member is configured to contact the heater and feed the power to the heat generator. The feeding member is made of a corson copper alloy.
Image forming apparatus
A control unit of the invention compares printing setting suitable for a determined type of a recording material and printing setting of the recording material input by a user, and in a case where a difference between the printing setting suitable for the determined type of the recording material and the printing setting of the recording material input by the user falls in a predetermined range, the control unit performs a printing operation in accordance with the printing setting of the recording material input by the user, and in a case where the difference is greater than the predetermined range, the control unit performs the printing operation by changing the printing setting of the recording material input by the user, which is used when the difference is smaller than the predetermined range.
Determining media weight based on input voltage estimate
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a method for determining fusing energy per page based on an applied voltage is described. According to the method, a resistance of a fusing system is acquired and an input voltage of a fusing system is estimated. A duty ratio of the fusing system is measured and a fusing energy per processed page is then determined based on the input voltage, the fusing system resistance, and the duty ratio of the fusing system. A media weight is then determined based on the fusing energy per processed page.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE HEATING APPARATUS THAT CONTROL HEATING AMOUNTS OF A REGION IN WHICH AN IMAGE IS FORMED AND A REGION IN WHICH AN IMAGE IS NOT FORMED
An image heating apparatus has a heater to heat an image formed on a recording material. The heater has a plurality of heat generating elements. A control portion controls electrical power supplied to the plurality of heat generating elements. The control portion respectively sets a heating amount with respect to a region in which an image is formed and a heating amount with respect to a region in which an image is not formed in a single sheet of the recording material. The control portion is further configured to at least set the heating amount with respect to the region in which the image is not formed when the recording material is heavy paper to become less than the heating amount with respect to the region in which the image is not formed when the recording material is plain paper.
IMAGE HEATING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
In a fixing apparatus 200 having a heater 300 capable of selectively causing a plurality of heat generating blocks divided in a longitudinal direction of a substrate 305 to generate heat, an energization control portion 400 acquires, when performing a fixing operation, a cumulative amount of heat generation in each of a plurality of heating areas, a cumulative rotation time of a pressure roller 208, and information on a recording material that passes through a fixing nip portion, and controls energization of heat generating elements 302a and 302b on the basis of the acquired information.
Image forming apparatus that controls rotation of a rotating unit and a heating process of a heating portion
An image forming apparatus includes a controller that changes a rotating unit between a rotating state and a stop state, and a temperature of a heating portion to be a predetermined temperature by performing a heating operation. The controller performs, in order, a non-heating rotating process of setting the rotating unit in the rotating state, without controlling the temperature of the heating portion, after fixing the toner image on the recording material, a heating rotating process of controlling the temperature of the heating portion to be the predetermined temperature while setting the rotating unit in the rotating state, and a heating stopping process of controlling the temperature of the heating portion to be the predetermined temperature while setting the rotating unit in the stop state. The controller stops the heating operation in the heating stopping process after a predetermined period.
HEATING DEVICE, FIXING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A heating device includes a heater including a heat generator that generates heat as the heat generator is supplied with power. A feeding member contacts the heater and feeds the power to the heat generator. An endless belt rotates and is heated by the heater. A driving roller contacts an outer circumferential surface of the endless belt. A driving force transmitter is disposed at one lateral end of the driving roller in an axial direction of the driving roller. The driving force transmitter transmits a driving force that drives and rotates the driving roller. The feeding member is made of a corson copper alloy and is disposed in a non-driving side defined by a center of the heat generator in a longitudinal direction of the heater. The non-driving side is opposite a driving side in the longitudinal direction of the heater, where the driving force transmitter is disposed.
FIXING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS THAT SET TARGET TEMPERATURES OF HEAT GENERATING ELEMENTS FOR HEATING A DEVELOPER IMAGE IN EACH OF A PLURALITY OF REGIONS
A fixing apparatus includes a plurality of heat generating elements for heating a developer image formed on a recording medium corresponding to a plurality of heating regions. A first target temperature of the heat generating elements is set based on a developer amount per unit area of the developer image in each of the heating regions, and the temperature of the heat generating elements is controlled to the first target temperature. If a difference between the first target temperatures for two adjacent heating regions is outside of a predetermined range, the first target temperature for one of the two adjacent heating regions is corrected to a second target temperature, which is greater than the first target temperature, so that the difference between the first target temperatures for the two adjacent heating regions is within the predetermined range.
