An image forming apparatus, in which a method of positional adjustment performed in image forming, includes an image bearer, a transfer device to transfer an image formed on the image bearer onto a recording medium having a first side and a second side, a recording medium conveying path along which the recording medium travels to the transfer device, a first detector and a second detector to detect positional information of the recording medium on or near the recording medium conveying path, in which the first detector being disposed closer to the transfer device than the second detector to the transfer device in a sheet conveying direction on the recording medium conveying path, and an adjuster to adjust a position of the image based on at least one of former positional information obtained by the first detector and current positional information obtained by the second detector.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus with a duplex printing function may include a closeable and openable portion. In one example, the portion may correspond to a cover of the image forming apparatus. The cover may include guiding portions configured to define a return path for duplex printing. In another example, the portion may correspond to a document reading unit including an outer casing. A portion of the outer casing may be configured to guide a recording sheet that is conveyed out of a housing of the image forming apparatus by a switchback roller. In one example, the switchback roller may convey a recording sheet to a position above an upper surface of the outer casing.
Image Forming Apparatus
An image forming apparatus forms an image on a recording material by using toner containing a release agent, and includes: a fixer that fixes, on the recording material, a toner image formed on the recording material; a reverse transport path that is arranged on a downstream side of the fixer in a recording material transport direction and reverses and transports the recording material after fixing; a reverse roller that is provided on the reverse transport path and reverses and sends out the recording material by reversely transporting the recording material; a transporter that is provided between the fixer and the reverse roller on the reverse transport path; and a release agent remover that removes the release agent adhering to the reverse roller, wherein the transporter includes a release agent adhesion preventer that prevents the release agent from adhering to the transporter.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes: an inverting unit that inverts a sheet when an image forming process for forming images on both sides of the sheet is performed; an image forming unit that forms an image on a second side of the sheet based on first side image data and forms an image on a third side of the sheet based on second side image data; a controller that starts the image forming process upon receiving print data to be printed on specific paper, and inverts a sheet fed from a sheet feeding unit once or more; and a converting unit that, when the sheet fed from the sheet feeding unit is the specific paper, converts the first side print data which is received to be printed on the specific paper into N-th side image data where N≥2 and transfers the N-th side image data to the image forming unit.
Image forming apparatus having plurality of conveyance modes
An image forming apparatus includes an image formation unit configured to form an image on a sheet at a formation position; a circulatory conveyance path for conveying the sheet with the image formed at the formation position on a first side thereof to the formation position again; a reading unit configured to read the first side of the sheet conveyed through the circulatory conveyance path and output image information; and a conveyance control unit configured to convey the sheet in one conveyance mode out of a plurality of conveyance modes when the reading unit reads the first side of the sheet. A range, in a conveyance direction, of the sheet that can be read by the reading unit while a conveyance speed of the sheet is constant is different for each of the plurality of conveyance modes.
IMAGE RECORDING APPARATUS
An image recording apparatus includes: a first path for conveying a recording medium in order of a stacking portion on which the recording medium is stacked, a recording portion for recording an image on the recording medium, a heating portion for recording the image, and a discharge portion for discharging the recording medium; a second path branching off from the first path at a first branch part between the recording portion and the heating portion, and for discharging the recording medium to the discharge portion without passing through the heating portion; and a third path branching off from the first path at a second branch part between the recording portion and the first branch part, and for conveying the recording medium, the recording surface of which is inverted, toward between the stacking portion and the recording portion in the first path.
IMAGE RECORDING APPARATUS
An image recording apparatus includes a stacking portion on which a recording medium is stacked; a recording portion for recording an image on the recording medium; a heating portion for heating the recording medium recorded by the recording portion; a discharge portion for discharging the recording medium recorded by the recording portion; a first path for conveying the recording medium in order of the stacking portion, the recording portion, the heating portion, and the discharge portion; a second path branching off from the first path between the recording portion and the heating portion, and merging with the first path downstream of the heating portion; and a third path for connecting the second path and a part of the first path between the stacking portion and the recording portion, and inverting a recording surface of the recording medium.
Image forming apparatus
Provided is an image forming apparatus, in which a recording material is conveyed by a reverse portion rotated in a first direction at a first velocity which is faster than a conveyance velocity of the recording material in a fixing portion after a rear end portion of the recording material passes through the fixing portion, and then, the recording material is conveyed to a conveying portion by the reverse portion rotated in a second direction opposite to the first direction through a conveyance path at a second velocity which is faster than the conveyance velocity of the recording material in the fixing portion, and a conveyance velocity of the recording material is set to a third velocity which is slower than the second velocity at a predetermined timing before the rear end portion of the recording material reaches a curved portion of the conveyance path.
Image forming apparatus capable of forming image on both first side and second side of sheet
After outputting a first start signal for causing an image forming unit to start formation of an image for a first side of an i-th sheet, a controller causes a feeding member to start feeding of the i-th sheet, and determines whether or not the i-th sheet has already been detected by a detector. In a case where the i-th sheet has been detected before a predetermined time has elapsed, the controller outputs a second start signal for causing the image forming unit to start formation of an image for second side of an (i−1)th sheet. In a case where the i-th sheet has not been detected before the predetermined time has elapsed, the controller outputs the second start signal after the i-th sheet is detected.
MEIDUM PASSAGE SWITCHING MECHANISM DISPOSED ON A CASING OF AN IMAGE FORMING DEVICE AND RELATED IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
A medium passage switching mechanism disposed on a casing of an image forming device, includes a medium tray, a guiding component and a resilient component. An entrance passage, a first exit passage and a second exit passage are formed inside the casing. The medium tray is pivoted to the casing and can pivot between a first position and a second position. The guiding component is pivoted to the casing and can pivot between a third position and a fourth position. The resilient component abuts against the guiding component and the casing. When the medium tray pivots between the first position and the second position, the guiding component can be driven by cooperation of the resilient component and the medium tray to pivot between the third position and the fourth position for guiding a medium to enter into the first exit passage or the second exit passage from the entrance passage.
