DEVELOPING CARTRIDGE
A developing cartridge may include a developing roller, a casing capable of containing a developer therein, a developing electrode movable with the casing and the developing roller and pivotable about a developing roller shaft of the developing roller in a direction, a first lever movable relative to the casing, and a holder configured to hold the first lever relative to the casing, in case where the developing electrode pivots from one side of the direction to an other side of the direction, the first lever stops the pivotable movement of the developing electrode from one side of the direction to the other side of the direction and the holder prevents the first lever from coming off the holder from the one side of the direction to the other side of the direction.
CARTRIDGE ASSEMBLY
In a cartridge assembly, a cartridge frame is configured to limit a movable amount of a photosensitive drum with respect to the frame in a longitudinal direction of the photosensitive drum to a first amount in the case where a cover member is apart from the frame, and the cover member has a held portion held by the frame and a limiting portion configured to limit the movable amount of the photosensitive drum with respect to the frame to a second amount smaller than the first amount by contacting with a longitudinal end surface of the photosensitive drum in the case where the photosensitive drum moves in the longitudinal direction when the cover member is mounted on the frame.
Image forming apparatus and process cartridge
An image forming apparatus includes a mounting portion for mounting a process cartridge, the process cartridge including a first unit having an image bearing drum, and a second unit having a developing roller, the second unit being movable between a contact position in which the roller contacts the drum and a spaced position in which they are mutually spaced; an engageable member engageable with a force receiving portion provided on the second unit; wherein the engageable member is movable between a first position for maintaining the second unit in the spaced position by engaging with the force receiving portion, a second position for permitting movement of the second unit from the spaced position to the contact position; and a third position for permitting the process cartridge to be mounted, by being pressed by the process cartridge to retract, when the process cartridge is mounted to the mounting portion.
Toner cartridge electrical contacts
A toner cartridge according to one example embodiment includes a reservoir for holding toner. An outlet is positioned on a front of the toner cartridge for exiting toner from the toner cartridge. First, second and third electrical contacts are positioned on a first side of the toner cartridge for contacting corresponding first, second and third electrical contacts in an image forming device. Each of the first, second and third electrical contacts of the toner cartridge is electrically connected to a respective imaging component positioned on the toner cartridge. The first, second and third electrical contacts of the toner cartridge are positioned such that an imaginary line that angles downward in a direction from a rear of the toner cartridge toward the front of the toner cartridge passes through the first, second and third electrical contacts of the toner cartridge.

Developing device, image forming apparatus including developing device
A developing device is detachably supported by an image forming apparatus. The developing device includes a housing that can store developer inside the housing, at least one rotating member rotatably provided for the housing, a first support shaft composed of a conductive member and disposed at an axial end of the rotating member, and a support member including a first bearing portion that supports the first support shaft and constituting a side face of the housing in an axial direction of the rotating member. The first bearing portion includes a first guide portion. The first guide portion protrudes outward from an outer surface of the support member and configured to be guided to an installation position of the developing device during installation of the developing device in the image forming apparatus.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus main body, a process cartridge, a scanner unit, and a toner cartridge. The process cartridge is detachably mounted on the apparatus main body. The process cartridge includes: a photosensitive drum configured to rotate about a rotational axis extending in a first direction; and a development unit configured to supply toner to the photosensitive drum. The toner cartridge is configured to store toner. At least part of the photosensitive drum, at least part of the scanner unit, and at least part of the toner cartridge are aligned in a second direction in this order. The second direction is perpendicular to both the first direction and to a vertical direction. The at least part of the photosensitive drum, the at least part of the scanner unit, and the at least part of the toner cartridge overlap one another as viewed from the second direction.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a developing device, a drum unit, a side plate, a notch, a turning member and a biasing member. The developing device includes a developing roller. The drum unit includes a photosensitive drum and has a protrusion protruding in an axial direction of the photosensitive drum. Thea side plate faces an end surface of the drum unit in the axial direction. The notch is provided in the side plate. The turning member is capable of turning in a direction protruding into the notch and in a direction separating from the notch. The biasing member biases the turning member in a direction close to the notch. The turning member is pushed back by the protrusion inserted into the notch from above, and when the protrusion reaches a bottom of the notch, the turning member presses the protrusion against the notch by a load containing a downward component.
Developing cartridge including inclined surface movable together with casing and developing roller relative to photosensitive drum
The developing cartridge includes a casing, a developing roller, and a first inclined surface. The first inclined surface is positioned at an outer surface of one end portion of the casing in the second direction. The first inclined surface is fixed to the casing and is inclined relative to the first direction. The first inclined surface is movable in the first direction relative to the photosensitive drum between a first position and a second position together with the casing and the developing roller in a state where the developing cartridge 1 is attached to a drum cartridge. In a state where the first inclined surface is at the first position, the developing roller is in contact with the photosensitive drum. In a state where the first inclined surface is at the second position, the developing roller is in separation from the photosensitive drum.
Cartridge and electrophotographic image forming apparatus
In a cartridge structure employing an inclinable coupling member engaging with a rotational force transmitting portion of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, the coupling member is unable to engage with the rotational force transmitting portion of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus when the mounting and dismounting direction and the developing/spacing direction relative to the electrophotographic image forming apparatus of different from each other. Under the circumstances, a coupling lever contacting and retracting relative to the coupling member in interrelation with the mounting and dismounting operation of a developing cartridge B1, and a coupling spring for the coupling lever to apply an urging force to the coupling member are provided.
