PERSONAL CARE PRODUCT FORMULATIONS WITH ADJUSTABLE PRODUCT DEPOSITION
The present invention provides formulations and associated manufacturing methods for solid personal care products in which the amount of product deposition achieved when the product is used by the consumer, a characteristic known as pay-off, can be calibrated by the manufacturer. This is done by varying the levels of several ingredients that comprise the molten form of the product. The amounts of the ingredients propanediol and glycerin, sucrose cocoate, silica, and starch can be adjusted to form a final product with desired pay-off. In accordance with the invention, it is possible to vary one or more, or all five of these ingredients for the final formulation in order to arrive at the preferred pay-off.
MULTI-LAYER DEODORANT APPLICATOR STICKS HAVING MULTIPLE SENSORY CHARACTERISTICS
Multi-layer deodorant applicator sticks are disclosed to be applied to the body of a user to prevent or mask body odor. Each deodorant applicator stick includes a first deodorant composition layer having a first sensory characteristic, such as a particular fragrance, and at least one second deodorant composition layer having a different sensory characteristic. The first and second deodorant composition layers are joined to one another (e.g., within a container) so that the respective first and second sensory characteristics thereof are available to the user either simultaneously or one at a time as the multi-layer deodorant applicator stick wears down over time. That is to say, a customized mixture of the first and second deodorant composition layers having the first and second sensory characteristics can be applied to the body of the user from a single deodorant applicator stick so as to avoid the necessity that the user have access to a second deodorant applicator stick.
OIL-IN-WATER TYPE SOLID COSMETIC MATERIAL AND COSMETIC PRODUCT
The oil-in-water type solid cosmetic material contains a powder component, a gelling agent, a water-soluble thickener, water, and an oiling agent, wherein a plate-like powder, which has an average particle size of 10 to 200 μm and has an aspect ratio of 40 to 200, is contained, as the powder component, in an amount of 3% to 30% by mass based on a total amount of the cosmetic material; and agar and/or gellan gum is contained as the gelling agent.
Antiperspirant / Deodorant Compositions Including Biodegradable Amino Carboxylates and Methods for the Same
Antiperspirant and/or deodorant compositions and methods for the same are provided. The compositions may include an antiperspirant active or a deodorant active, water, and a preservative system. The antiperspirant active may include aluminum, and the preservative system may include a biodegradable amino carboxylate. The methods may include substituting or replacing a conventional chelant, such as EDTA, with a biodegradable chelant, such as HIDS. The methods may also include applying one of the compositions to an axillary area of a person.
DEODORANT COMPOSITIONS
A deodorant stick comprising: at least about 25% of a liquid triglyceride; at least one antimicrobial; a primary structurant with a melting point of at least about 50° C.; and less than 8% of secondary structurants having a melting point of at least about 60° C.; said stick being free of an aluminum salt; and said stick having a hardness from about 80 mm*10 to about 140 mm*10, as measured by penetration with ASTM D-1321 needle.
Anhydrous 2-pyridinol-n-oxide deodorant and antiperspirant compositions
A deodorant stick having a substituted or unsubstituted 2-pyridinol-N-oxide material and at least one material selected from the group consisting of hexamidine, magnesium carbonate, zinc carbonate, thymol, magnesium hydroxide, dead sea salt, calcium carbonate, polyvinyl formate, salycilic acid, niacinamide, and combinations thereof.
STICK-TYPE SHEET MASK AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
Provided is a stick-type mask pack according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, which is configured by mixing at least two natural vegetable oils and solid waxes and added with a liquid-crystalizing agent, a binder, and a clarifying agent to be transparent and maintain stability even at a high temperature, wherein a layer where a liquid crystal layer is in contact with the skin when applied to the skin forms a nutrient supply barrier that balances oil and moisture and a layer far away from the skin forms an air barrier.
Oil-Based Solid Cosmetic
An solid cosmetic which contains 1 to 30% by mass of (A) a solid oil component having a melting point of 50 to 120° C., 50 to 95% by mass % of (B) a liquid oil component, 3 to 40% by mass % of (C) a nonionic surfactant having an HLB value of 5 to 13, 0.1 to 20% by mass % of (D) a powder having a volume average particle diameter of 1 to 200 μm, and 0.1 to 10% by mass of (E) fumed silica is excellent in cleansing property, washing-off property and refreshing feeling after washing, and is also excellent in quality stability such as appearance and uniformity of composition.
Method of reclaiming formula components of antiperspirant compositions
Methods for reclaiming formula components of an antiperspirant composition and recycling formula into its component parts for recycling into an antiperspirant composition.
POLYURETHANE GEL COMPOSITION AND USE THEREOF
Provided is a polyurethane gel composition containing A and B below. Here, A represents a polyurethane obtained by reaction of (a) a hydrogenated polybutadiene having isocyanate groups at the terminals and (b) a glycol represented by HO—R.sub.3—OH (wherein R.sub.3 represents a linear or branched C2 to C6 alkylene group optionally having an ether bond), or A represents a polyurethane obtained by reaction of (c) a hydrogenated polybutadiene having hydroxyl groups at the terminals, (d) a diisocyanate compound, and the (b) glycol represented by HO—R.sub.3—OH (wherein R.sub.3 represents a linear or branched C2 to C6 alkylene group optionally having an ether bond), and B represents an oil agent. The polyurethane gel composition of the present invention is particularly useful as a raw material for cosmetics since a film of an oil-soluble gel obtained using the polyurethane gel composition is exceptionally excellent in any point of transparency, high gloss, elasticity, and resilience.
