PROCESS CARTRIDGE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A process cartridge is detachably mountable to a main assembly of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus. The cartridge includes an electrophotographic photosensitive drum, a developing roller, a drum unit containing the drum, a developing unit containing the roller and being movable so the roller contacts and is spaced from the drum, and a first force receiver receiving a force from a main-assembly first force applier by movement of a door from open to closed positions when mounting the cartridge and a second force receiver movable from a stand-by position by movement of the first force receiver by a force received from the first force applier. The second force receiver takes a projected position receiving a force from the second force applier to move the developing unit so the roller moves out of contact with the drum, the projected position being higher than the stand-by position.
Process cartridge with movable force receiving portion configured to separate developing roller and photosensitive drum
Disclosed is a process cartridge detachably mounted to an image forming device having a tray and force applying components. The process cartridge has a process cartridge frame, a photosensitive unit, a developing unit rotatable relative to the photosensitive unit. The process cartridge frame has a driving side and a conductive side disposed oppositely along a length direction. The driving side has a first driving force receiving portion for rotating a photosensitive drum and a second driving force receiving portion for rotating a developing roller. The developing unit has a force receiving portion for receiving force of force applying components to rotate the developing unit relative to the photosensitive unit. When the process cartridge is pushed into to the image forming device, the force receiving portion move at least in a left-and-right direction and/or an up-and-down direction relative to the frame of the process cartridge.

PROCESS CARTRIDGE AND DEVELOPING CARTRIDGE
A cartridge detachably mountable to a main assembly of an image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive member unit including a photosensitive drum; a sheet configured to remove a deposited matter from a surface of the drum, the sheet being in contact with the surface of the drum at an end portion of the drum with respect to a rotational axis direction of the member; and a developing unit detachably mounted to the member unit, the developing unit including a developing roller configured to supply toner to the drum, and a storage portion configured to store the deposited matter removed from the surface of the drum by the sheet.
PROCESS CARTRIDGE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A process cartridge includes a first unit including an image bearing member configured to carry an electrostatic latent image, and a second unit including a developer bearing member configured to develop the electrostatic latent image carried on the image bearing member into a toner image, the second unit being capable of being mounted on the first unit in a mounting direction. The first unit includes a moving member that moves the second unit mounted on the first unit at a mounting position to a detachment position. The second unit includes a storage unit that stores information about the second unit. The moving member is disposed on a first side of the process cartridge in a longitudinal direction of the image bearing member. An electrode of the storage unit is disposed on a second side of the process cartridge in the longitudinal direction.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCLUDING A MOVABLE ENGAGEABLE MEMBER AND PROCESS CARTRIDGE INCLUDING A FORCE RECEIVING PORTION
An image forming apparatus includes a mounting portion for mounting a process cartridge, the process cartridge including a first unit having an image bearing drum, and a second unit having a developing roller, the second unit being movable between a contact position in which the roller contacts the drum and a spaced position in which they are mutually spaced; an engageable member engageable with a force receiving portion provided on the second unit; wherein the engageable member is movable between a first position for maintaining the second unit in the spaced position by engaging with the force receiving portion, a second position for permitting movement of the second unit from the spaced position to the contact position; and a third position for permitting the process cartridge to be mounted, by being pressed by the process cartridge to retract, when the process cartridge is mounted to the mounting portion.
Remanufactured toner cartridge and method
A remanufactured toner cartridge and related method includes a modified driven gear that is associated with an internal seal removal mechanism. The driven gear is modified so that driving rotational force from a printer is not transmitted to the seal removal mechanism during a post test of the remanufactured cartridge. When the post test is complete a fixing member, which may include a pin, is used to return the modified driven gear to an operational configuration so that when the cartridge is subsequently installed in a printer, driving rotational force from the printer is transmitted to the removal mechanism to remove the internal toner seal, thereby permitting cartridge operation.
