Provided is a processing cartridge, which is detachably installed in an imaging device provided with a separation mechanism; the processing cartridge includes: a first unit and a second unit connected with each other in a movable manner; a separating force receiving mechanism, which is arranged at a first end in a length direction of the processing cartridge; an abutment portion, which is located in the second unit; a sliding groove, located at the first end of the processing cartridge; the separating force receiving mechanism includes: a separating force receiving member, movably installed on the sliding groove, including a force receiving portion, a force transmitting portion and a restricting portion; an elastic member having elastic force on the separating force receiving member; under an action of a force of the imaging device, at least a part of the separating force receiving member is able to retract into the processing cartridge.

An example image forming apparatus includes a main body including a cover, a location determining member coupled to the main body to settle a toner cartridge in an image forming location, a sliding member slidably coupled to the main body to move the toner cartridge between a first location outside the main body and a second location inside the main body, and a holder connected with the cover to move the toner cartridge located in the second location to a third location contacting the location determining member according to a movement of the cover.

There is provided a cartridge mountable on an image forming apparatus. The cartridge includes a recess portion provided on an exterior surface of the cartridge. The recess portion includes a character portion indicating a character trademark and a background portion serving as a background of the character portion. The character portion has a recess shape recessed from the background portion.

The image forming apparatus includes a cartridge replaceable by detachably mounting to the image forming apparatus, a door that takes a closed state or an open state, a locking pin that switches a state of the regulation unit between a regulating state in which the replacement unit is prevented to be detached from the image forming apparatus and a release state in which the replacement unit is to be detachable from the image forming apparatus, and a lock control unit (a control unit) that makes a determination as to whether or not the state of the regulation unit is to be switched from the release state to the regulating state, at a predetermined timing when initial processing is completed after a power source is turned on or a state of the door becomes the closed state from the open state.

A cartridge is mountable in and dismountable from a main assembly of an image forming apparatus, in which the main assembly includes an opening and an openable member including a discriminating portion. The cartridge includes a process unit including a rotatable photosensitive member and a developing roller configured to supply toner to the photosensitive member, and a developer storage unit configured to store a developer. The developer storage unit is provided with a discharge opening for permitting discharge of the stored developer to the process unit and is mountable to and dismountable from the process unit. The developer storage unit is provided with a portion-to-be-discriminated provided so as to be engaged with the discriminating portion of the openable member when the cartridge is mounted in the main assembly and the openable member is in a closed position.

An image forming apparatus includes a body housing, a drawer movable between an accommodated position and a drawn position, a drum cartridge including a photoconductor drum, a developing cartridge including a developing roller, and a belt located above the photoconductor drum, and the drawer is located at the accommodated position. The drum cartridge includes a moving member movable, with respect to the photoconductor drum, between (i) a first position which is a position at which the moving member is not opposed to the developing cartridge mounted on the drum cartridge and is opposed to a circumferential surface of the photoconductor drum and (ii) a second position which is a position at which the moving member is not opposed to the circumferential surface of the photoconductor drum and is opposed to the developing cartridge mounted on the drum cartridge.

An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body including a main contact, and a main guide, and a cartridge including a memory contact, a moving unit moving into and out of the apparatus body in a first direction and including a frame to which the cartridge is attached, first and second protrusions protruding in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction from the end surface of the frame, an intermediate contact being in electrical contact with the memory contact, an unit contact being in electrical contact with the main contact, and a line conductor, the first protrusion being supported by the main guide of the apparatus body, the second protrusion being located above the first protrusion. At least part of the line conductor connecting the intermediate contact and the unit contact is located in a recess formed by the first protrusion, the second protrusion, and the end surface.

A drum cartridge attachable to and detachable from a main frame of an image forming apparatus includes: a photosensitive drum; a drum frame; and a drum contact. The photosensitive drum is rotatable about a drum axis extending in a first direction. A toner cartridge including a storage medium having an electrical contact surface is attachable to and detachable from the drum frame. In a state where the toner cartridge is attached to the drum frame, the drum contact is movable in the first direction between: a separated position in which the drum contact is positioned away from the electrical contact surface; and a contacting position in which the drum contact is in contact with the electrical contact surface. The drum contact moves from the separated position to the contacting position in accordance with attachment of the drum cartridge to the main frame.

An image forming apparatus includes a main body housing, a drawer, a drum cartridge, and a toner cartridge. The drawer includes a waste toner conveying pipe and a lock member. In a state where the toner cartridge is mounted on the drum cartridge, the drum cartridge is mounted on the drawer, the drawer is located at a drawn-out position, and the lock member is located at a lock position, the toner cartridge is detachable from the drum cartridge.

An image formation apparatus according to an embodiment may include: an apparatus body; an image formation unit configured to form an image; a movable unit accommodated in the apparatus body and supporting the image formation unit; a guide part configured to guide the movable unit from an inside of the apparatus body in a pull-out direction; a first rotatable member provided to the apparatus body and configured to guide the movable unit in the pull-out direction; and a second rotatable member provided to the movable unit and configured to be engaged with the guide part at a position on an upstream side of the first rotatable member in the pull-out direction. In a state where the movable unit is guided by the first rotatable member with the movable unit being moved in the pull-out direction, the second rotatable member and the guide part are disengaged from each other.
