“Smart” sensor data analytics for equipment diagnosis

A system for performing sensor data analytics for equipment diagnostics featuring an alarm signature and diagnostic detector having a signal processor configured to receive signaling containing information about an alarm signature for sensed data that is time-stamped for captured alarm signature parameters in order to monitor rotary equipment, and also about diagnostic detector signatures for diagnostic detectors related to alarm conditions for the rotary equipment; and determine corresponding signaling containing information about an alarm diagnosis based upon a match between the alarm signature and one of the diagnostic detector signatures contained in the signaling received.

SCADA WEB HMI SYSTEM

An object of the present invention is to provide a SCADA web HMI system that can reduce a load for processing an alarm signal in a large-scale system. An HMI server apparatus performs buffering processing and alarm filtering processing. In the buffering processing, in a case where a received block data includes a set of alarm signals, at least the set of alarm signals included in the block data is temporarily stored in an alarm buffer memory. In the alarm filtering processing, the set of alarm signals stored in the alarm buffer memory is taken out for every second period that is longer than a first period, and the alarm signal having a value varied from a previous value is extracted from the taken-out set of alarm signals.

Refrigerant leak detection and mitigation system and method
11326798 · 2022-05-10 ·

A refrigerant leak detection and mitigation system/method for use in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems that incorporates a refrigerant gas sensor (RGS), sensor signal conditioner (SSC), alarm status indicator (ASI), and digital control processor (DCP) is disclosed. The RGS detects ambient refrigerant gas (ARG) and indicates this as a refrigerant sensor voltage (RSV) to the SSC. The DCP and SSC form a closed control loop (CCL) in which the SSC electrical characteristics are adjusted by the DCP such that the RSV is continuously and dynamically recalibrated to account for background refrigerant gas levels, changes in ambient air conditions, RGS manufacturing tolerances, and other field-specific operational conditions that impact the RGS detection capabilities. The DCP is configured to log alarms to the ASI if a RGS refrigerant leak is detected and optionally shutdown one or more HVAC system components such as a specific air handler leaking refrigerant.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRANSMISSION OF ENGINE FAULT DATA
20220135244 · 2022-05-05 ·

A data transmission system and method for an engine of an aircraft. Engine fault data indicative of at least one fault condition of the engine is obtained at a computing device provided on-board the aircraft. Sensor data associated with the at least one fault condition is retrieved based on the engine fault data. The engine fault data and the sensor data are transmitted, through a wireless connection, to an electronic device external to the aircraft.

A method of facilitating operator concentration on one among a plurality of operator workstation screens of a control and monitoring system, wherein the method is performed by the control and monitoring system and includes: detecting which of the plurality of screens that an operator is focused on, where the screen on which the operator is focused is a first screen, displaying information on the first screen in a focal display state with a high degree of detail, and displaying information on at least a second screen, which is different from the first screen, in a peripheral display state with a lower degree of detail than the focal display state.

Systems and methods for managing energy-related stress in an electrical system
11314272 · 2022-04-26 · ·

A method for reducing and/or managing energy-related stress in an electrical system includes processing electrical measurement data from or derived from energy-related signals captured by at least one intelligent electronic device (IED) in the electrical system to identify and track at least one energy-related transient in the electrical system. An impact of the at least one energy-related transient on equipment in the electrical system is quantified, and one or more transient-related alarms are generated in response to the impact of the at least one energy-related transient being near, within or above a predetermined range of the stress tolerance of the equipment. The transient-related alarms are prioritized based in part on at least one of the stress tolerance of the equipment, the stress associated with one or more transient events, and accumulated energy-related stress on the equipment. One or more actions are taken in the electrical system in response to the transient-related alarms to reduce energy-related stress on the equipment in the electrical system.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING CONDITION OF A SAMPLE HANDLING SYSTEM OF A GAS ANALYSER

The present invention discloses a method and a system for monitoring condition of a sample handling system connected to a gas analyzer. The sample handling system comprises a sample line for supplying a gas sample to the gas analyzer, and sample handling devices. The system for monitoring condition, receives measurements from temperature and pressure sensors connected to the sample line and obtains operating characteristics of the sample handling devices based on the measurements and model of the sample handling system; and determines the condition of the sample handling system based on comparison of the operating characteristics of the sample handling device against a plurality of reference values associated with the sample handling device.
