A diaphragm pressure reducer has internally a shutter regulating the fluid passage between an inlet and an outlet; the shutter is pushed to open by a spring which is contrasted by an elastic diaphragm on which the fluid pressure acts to push the shutter to close; the diaphragm is placed between a first chamber in which the pressurized fluid is present that acts on the diaphragm and a second chamber communicating with the outside through an air vent passage; at the air vent passage an elastically deformable element is arranged that normally allows air to flow in the air vent passage, but in the event of rupture of the diaphragm through the thrust of the water pressure is deformed and moves so as to shut the aforesaid air vent passage and prevent water exiting the diaphragm pressure reducer.

SLAM-SHUT SAFETY DEVICES FOR A FLUID REGULATOR

A slam-shut mechanism for operatively connecting a slam-shut control element of a fluid regulator with a controller for the control element. The mechanism includes a shaft and a cam carried by the shaft and having a cam surface adapted to be operatively connected to the slam-shut control element. The mechanism also includes a latching pin carried by the shaft, a latch, and a lever operably connected to the latch and adapted to be selectively engaged by the controller. When the controller engages the lever, the latch is movable from a first position, in which the latch securely retains the latching pin, such that the cam surface is arranged to retain the slam-shut control element in a fully open position, to a second position, in which the latching pin is released from the latch, thereby allowing the slam-shut control element to move from the fully open position to a closed position.

Combination valve for pressure building and final-line gas regulation

A combination valve for pressure building and final-line gas regulation is disclosed. An example valve includes a body defining a first tank port and a second tank port, an outlet port, and a linking chamber fluidly connected to the second tank port. The valve includes a first piston diaphragm at least partially defining a first pressure cavity fluidly connected to the first tank port and a first plug operatively connected to the first piston diaphragm. The first pressure cavity is fluidly connected to the linking chamber when the first plug is in an open position. The valve includes a second piston diaphragm at least partially defining a second pressure cavity fluidly connected to the outlet port and a second plug operatively connected to the second piston diaphragm. The second pressure cavity is fluidly connected to the linking chamber when the second plug is in an open position.

A PRV is provided, comprising an inlet, an outlet, and a pressure regulating system therebetween to maintain a set pressure at the outlet. The PRV further comprises a selection system configured to select between the two working pressures based on the pressure of the fluid at the inlet of the PRV, and to direct the pressure regulating system to maintain the set pressure at the outlet at the selected working pressure. The selection system comprises a pressure-motion transducer for directing the set pressure when in pressure communication with the inlet, and an auxiliary valve having an auxiliary inlet in pressure communication with the inlet and an auxiliary outlet in pressure communication with the pressure-motion transducer. The auxiliary valve is configured to establish pressure communication between its inlet and outlet when pressure in the inlet traverses a predetermined threshold.

SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND METHODS FOR REDUCING FLUID PRESSURE IN A FLUID LINE

In some embodiments, a tube portion can be configured to be fluidically coupled to a patient access component. A source of pressurized fluid can be coupled to the tube portion and can be configured to deliver fluid to the tube portion at a source pressure. A fluid pressure regulating device can include an expandable reservoir and can be coupled to the tube portion such that the expandable reservoir is in fluidic communication with the tube portion. The fluid pressure regulating device can be configured such that, when fluid is delivered from the source of pressurized fluid to the lumen of the tube portion at the source pressure, the expandable reservoir of the fluid pressure regulating device can receive fluid such that the expandable reservoir of the fluid pressure regulating device expands and fluid is delivered from the lumen of the tube portion to the patient via the patient access component.

DEGRADATION DETECTION SYSTEM, BRAKE CONTROL DEVICE, AND DEGRADATION DETECTION METHOD

A degradation detection system includes: a storage that stores measured values of command pressure and measured values of response pressure; and a simulator that calculates, using a physical model, the response pressure in accordance with the command pressure, thereby obtaining a waveform of the calculated response pressure corresponding to a waveform of the command pressure in a case in which the command pressure is changed. A waveform identifier identifies a waveform of the calculated response pressure that matches a waveform of the detected response pressure. A degradation identifier identifies a degraded component of a pressure regulating valve from a value of parameter acquired by the waveform identifier and a normal range defined for the parameter.

Pressure reducing valve with an integral venturi

A pressure reducing valve includes a valve housing, plunger, pressure sensing cavity, and biasing member. The valve housing includes a valve inlet and valve outlet in selective fluid communication with each other.
