The controller may follow a predetermined duty cycle. The gas interface may include a pressure gauge of the primary gas tank and/or an emptying valve, which may communicate with the controller. Optionally, the gas insulating interface includes a detachable connector to the compressed gas source and/or a detachable connector to compressed devices. Optionally, there is a communication channel to the compressed gas source.

Pressure Control Using An External Trigger

A gas delivery system and associated method includes a flow channel, a control valve, a downstream pressure sensor, and a controller. The control valve controls flow of gas in the flow channel. The downstream pressure sensor, located downstream of the control valve, measures gas pressure in the flow channel. The controller has an external trigger input to receive a trigger signal applied to a shutoff valve downstream from the control valve. The controller operates in separate modes based on a state of the trigger signal. In a non-triggered mode, the controller controls pressure at the pressure sensor via the control valve in accordance with a first gain schedule. In the triggered mode, the controller controls the pressure at the pressure sensor via the control valve in accordance with a second gain schedule that is distinct from the first gain schedule.

A hose device may include a flexible hose device body having a first end configured to be attached to a cyclone and a second end with a free opening. The hose device may also include a plurality of weights affixed between the first end and the second end. When subjected to suction forces from a vacuum of the cyclone, the second end may be sucked upwards such that the plurality of weights hingedly swing toward the first end and the hose device body is in a retracted configuration. When released from the suction forces of the cyclone, the plurality of weights hingedly swing away from the first end and the hose device body extends downwards into an extended configuration by the gravity forces acting upon the weights, in the absence of the suction forces, to expand a size of the free opening.

Pressure relief system for hydraulic pumping operations

A pressure relief valve system for a fluid injection system is provided. The PRV system comprises one or more pressure transducers configured to sense fluid pressure within the fluid injection system. The transducers then generate electrical signals representative of fluid pressure readings within the fluid injection system in real time. Signals are received by a controller which compares pressure readings with a stored pressure threshold. An actuation signal is sent upon detecting a signal representative of a pressure that exceeds the stored pressure threshold, causing an electraulically-actuated valve to rotatably move to an open position. The PRV system includes a bypass feature that allows the operator to manually open or close a valve when the stored pressure threshold is reached. A method of controlling pressure during a wellbore operation is also provided.

High integrity protection system for hydrocarbon flow lines

A high integrity protection system includes a flow line including an inlet configured to be connected to a first source of pressure and an outlet configured to be connected to a downstream system. A first subsystem is installed on the flow line between the inlet and the outlet. A second subsystem is installed on the flow line between the inlet and the outlet, and the second subsystem is in a parallel flow configuration in relation to the first subsystem. The system includes a second source of pressure configured to be fluidically connected to the first subsystem and the second subsystem.

Pressure reduction in high pressure processing system

The invention relates to a pressure reduction unit for use in processing equipment handling high pressure fluid, where the pressure reduction unit comprises at least one inlet and an outlet, the pressure reduction unit being adapted to receive a pressurized fluid at process pressure level at the inlet, being adapted to isolate the received pressurized fluid from the upstream process and from the outlet and being adapted to reduce the pressure of the fluid to a lower predetermined level and further being adapted to output the fluid through the outlet while still isolated towards the upstream process.
