An apparatus and method provide logic for processing information. In one implementation, an information processing device includes a housing and a display unit configured to display at least a portion of a first content to a user. A projection unit is configured to project at least a portion of a second content onto a projection surface. A detection unit configured to detect a displacement between the projection surface and a portion of the housing, the housing being configured to support the display unit, the projection unit, and the detection unit. The detection unit is further configured to determine whether the displacement falls within a threshold distance. The projection unit is further configured to project the second portion of the content onto the projection surface, when the displacement falls within the threshold distance.

Methods and apparatuses for a mobile device (e.g., a mobile phone) supporting virtual peripherals are described. The mobile device may include a projecting component configured to project images to external surfaces outside of the mobile device. In some cases, the mobile device may project an image of a document on a first external surface and an image of a keyboard on a second external surface. Moreover, the mobile device may include an imaging component to receive inputs based on sensing an input device overlaid on the projected image (e.g., the keyboard). Accordingly, the mobile device may function as a computer with an external monitor and a keyboard, virtually added to the mobile device. In some cases, the mobile device may serve two or more users or purposes at a time. For example, the mobile device may operate as an infotainment device of a vehicle.

In the at least one bendable region, a first side of the flexible substrate includes multiple first recesses, and the filler layer includes a first filler layer that fills the multiple first recesses; and/or a second side of the flexible substrate includes multiple second recesses, and the filler layer also includes a second filler layer that fills the multiple second recesses. The first side is the inner side of the flexible substrate when the bendable film structure is bent. The second side is opposite to the first side. At least one of the first filler layer or the second filler layer has an elasticity greater than the flexible substrate.

Non-flexible display and input components may be provided on the exterior of the portable device such that the device may be used, in some form, while the flexible components are stored. In one embodiment, a portion of the flexible display (or flexible keyboard) may be utilized when the flexible display (or flexible keyboard) is stored in said first housing.

A position of each of the user interface elements relative to each of the other user interface elements in the user interface is determined based on the first data and the second data.

The VI includes a first user interface element and a second user interface element partially overlapping the first user interface element. The device detects, based on sensor data from at least one of a camera or a depth sensor of the wearable multimedia device, that a user has positioned a finger in proximity with the first user interface element. In response, the device modifies a visual characteristic of at least one of the first user interface element or the second user interface element.
