Video out interface for electronic device
An electronic device is provided having a video out mode for providing output to an external display coupled to the electronic device. The electronic device may automatically detect connection of the external display and select a display mode from a list of display modes based on selection criteria. The video out mode may include a user interface for controlling a presentation displayed on the external display. The user interface may include controls, including touch-sensitive controls, for advancing the presentation, moving back in the presentation, navigating the presentation, exiting the video out mode, and displaying of a pointer on the external display.
BOUNDLESS PROJECTED INTERACTIVE VIRTUAL DESKTOP
A method for creating a boundless projected interactive virtual desktop, wherein the interactive virtual desktop comprises an adjustable image of a projected portion of an area associated with at least one desktop of a computing device is provided. The method may include integrating a projector and a motion sensor into a device. The method may also include capturing at least one of a location, a change in location, a change in direction, or a change in orientation associated with the device. The method may include computing a projected image. The method may also include coordinating the computed projected image across at least one application running in the device. The method may further include projecting a view of a portion of an area associated with the coordinated projected image, wherein the projected view comprises an interactive virtual desktop. The method may additionally include adjusting the projected view based on a criteria.
INTERACTIVE PROJECTOR, INTERACTIVE PROJECTION SYSTEM, AND INTERACTIVE PROJECTOR CONTROL METHOD
An interactive projector includes a projection unit, a plurality of cameras, a position detection unit that detects a position of the pointing element with respect to the projected screen based on a plurality of images including the pointing element of which the image is captured, a function calculation unit that calculates a curved-surface function representing a three-dimensional shape of the projected screen based on a captured image including a specific image captured when the specific image is projected, and a contact detection unit that detects contact of the pointing element with the projected screen using the position of the pointing element detected by the position detection unit and the curved-surface function calculated by the function calculation unit, and the function calculation unit detects three-dimensional positions of a plurality of reference points, on the projected screen based on the captured image including the specific image and calculates the curved-surface function.

CORNER GENERATION IN A PROJECTOR DISPLAY AREA
An example processor-implemented method for generating corners of a display area is provided. The method comprises detecting a dominant line for each side of the display area, each dominant line used to identify corners, detecting subline segments on each side of the display area, determining a distance between the corners identified by the dominant lines and the sub-line segments on each side, and generating the corners of the display area based on the distance.
