ELECTRONIC DEVICES WITH ROTARY MAGNETIC LATCHES
This application relates to latch systems that secure together housing components of an electronic device. A latch and a magnet (coupled with the latch) are secured with a housing component by, for example, a post that extends from the housing component. The latch and the magnet can move (i.e., rotate) with respect to the housing component. As an example, prior to a tool applying an external magnetic field external to the electronic device, the latch is coupled to a first housing component and is engaged with a second housing component, thereby mechanically interlocking the first and second housing components. However, when the tool applies a rotational magnetic field to the magnet (that is coupled with the latch), the magnet and the latch rotate, thereby causing the latch to disengage from the second housing component. This allows the first and second housing components to decouple from each other.
Hinge adapters
In an example, a hinge adapter may include a first connector portion to removably engage with a first electronic device, and a second connector portion to removably operably engage with a second electronic device. Further, the hinge adapter may include a hinge connecting the first connector portion and the second connector portion. The first connector portion may rotate relative to the second connector portion via the hinge.
Electronic Apparatus For Displaying Image Using Visual Afterimage Of Light Source
An electronic apparatus for displaying an image by using visual afterimage of a light source, the apparatus comprises a communication unit performing data communication to a light source; a control unit controlling light emission of the light source; a body storing the communication unit and the control unit; and a fixing unit for attaching the body on a body of a user, wherein the light source provides an image based on changes in spatial position of the light source.
Socket structure and portable electronic device
A socket structure includes a casing, a switch, a linkage, a first hook, a gear, a rotating arm, and a second hook. The switch is exposed from the casing and disposed movably to the casing along a first direction or a second direction. The linkage is located in the casing and linked to the switch, and has a rack. The first hook is exposed from the casing and linked to the linkage. The gear is located in the casing and engages with the rack. The rotating arm having one end pivotally connected to the gear is located in the casing. The second hook is exposed from the casing and linked to the other end of the rotating arm. When the switch moves along the first direction, the linkage drives the first hook to move, the gear drives the rotating arm, and the second hook moves to an unlocked position.
TRANSMISSION DOCK AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device includes an input unit and a transmission dock. The transmission dock is pivotally connected to the input unit, and includes at least one pivotal concave portion, a first wall, a second wall and a third wall. The at least one pivotal concave portion has a first sidewall and a second sidewall opposite to each other. The first wall is connected to the first sidewall and the second sidewall. The second wall is connected to the first sidewall and the second sidewall. The third wall is connected to the first sidewall and the second sidewall. The first wall and the second wall are connected to two opposite sides of the third wall, respectively. An inner surface of the third wall forms a sloped surface toward each of the first sidewall and the second sidewall, and each of the sloped surfaces has an opening at an end thereof.
Sliding input device cover
A computing system includes an electronic device, a cover or case for the electronic device, and an input device that is slidably movable yet attached to the cover or case. By positioning the electronic device on top of the input device, rotation of the electronic device which changes its vertical viewing angle also translates the input device. These can provide improved overall possible viewing angle adjustability, increased system stability at high viewing angles, laptop-like opening and closing behavior, lighter weight, and implementation using low-cost components.
COMPUTER DISPLAY SYSTEM
A system can include a display housing that includes a planar display; a planar stand; and a hinge assembly that operatively couples the display housing and the planar stand and that includes an accessory socket that defines a plane that is maintained fixed for rotation of the display housing with respect to the planar stand.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCLUDING WIRELESS OPERATION UNIT
In a state in which wireless communication with a wireless operation device is disconnected, an instruction cannot be issued from the wireless operation device to an image forming apparatus main body. Thus, if the image forming apparatus main body enters a sleep mode, for example, an instruction for shifting the image forming apparatus main body from the sleep mode to a standby mode cannot be issued from the wireless operation device. In standby mode, a power source is controlled to supply power to an image forming unit and a wireless communication unit; in light sleep mode, the power source is caused not to supply power to the image forming unit and supply power to the wireless communication unit; and in deep sleep mode, the power source is caused not to supply power to the image forming unit and the wireless communication unit.
Display Chassis Design for Narrow Border Portable Information Handling System
A portable information handing system. The portable information handling system includes a base chassis, the base chassis comprising a motherboard, the motherboard comprising a processor and a bus coupled to the processor; and, a display chassis, the display chassis comprising the display chassis comprising a display component and a rear display cover portion, the rear display cover portion comprising a display component attachment assembly, the display component attachment assembly attaching the display component to the rear display cover portion, the display component attachment assembly comprising a display chassis disassembly component, the display chassis disassembly component being actuatable to remove the display component from the display chassis.
MOBILE HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE WITH A DISPLAY
A mobile household appliance has an appliance housing, a display that forms part of an outer shell of the appliance housing, a detection device for detecting an operating parameter that characterizes an operating mode of the household appliance, and an evaluation and control unit for determining the operating mode and for depicting at least one piece of information concerning the current operating mode on the display. The evaluation and control unit varies a depicting direction of the displayed information depending on the determined current operating mode of the household appliance. The detection device has a sensor that is designed for detecting a relative orientation of a handle of the household appliance, which can be adjusted relative to the appliance housing, or a contact sensor for detecting mechanical contact of the household appliance with a service station, or an accumulator monitoring device for detecting charging or discharging of the accumulator.
