Auxiliary monitor bracket for laptops
11768521 · 2023-09-26 ·

A multi-display monitor bracket designed to allow a user to mount two auxiliary monitors to a laptop (or tablets or phones), plus a camera, and easily manipulate the angle of the monitors including rotation away from the user to allow another individual sitting across a table from the user to easily see what is on the laptop monitor. The bracket attaches by tongue-and-groove fit to a mounting plate adhered to the back face of a laptop.

Display support arm mount

Display assemblies for supporting displays on stands or support arms have mount portions to removably attach to the displays using magnetic assemblies and latches. The magnetic assemblies and latches can improve user experience and allow the display to be installed on a support arm from the viewing side of the display and without having to see or reach behind the display. Magnetic structures can center a mount portion of the support arm and a recess of the display and can attract them to each other. Laterally-extending latches can ensure the display is not inadvertently removed. Locking mechanisms can prevent the display from being rotated to a portrait orientation when sufficient space around the display and the necessary user intent is not provided.

An electronic apparatus includes a display subassembly including display device that visually presents information and a connector, a base subassembly including a housing having a connector recess that receives the connector of the display subassembly, and one or more processors that control presentation of the information on the display subassembly. The connector of the display subassembly is sized to be at least partially received into the connector recess of the base subassembly to connect the display subassembly with the base subassembly while allowing the display subassembly to pivot relative to the base subassembly.

INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM DISPLAY NARROW BORDER ASSEMBLY

An information handling system display removably couples to a housing with a sliding structure of the display that engages a coupling structure disposed at opposing sides of the housing. For example, the sliding structure is a member that aligns under a lip formed in the coupling structure. In one embodiment, the sliding structure comprises plural pins extending from opposing sides of the display to enter channels at the side of the housing that direct the pins under a lip at the base of the channel.

ADJUSTMENT OF MAGNETIC FORCE IN A COMPUTING DEVICE

Magnetic force adjustment mechanisms are described herein. An electronic device includes a base, a first magnet carried by the base, a lid and a second magnet carried by the lid. The first and second magnets secure the base and the lid together with a holding force. A hinge pivotally couples the lid and the base. A slider displaces at least one of the first or second magnets relative to the other of the first or second magnets to reduce the holding force.

SELECTIVELY REMOVABLE KEYBOARD BASES

A computer input device that includes a keyboard base comprising a touch-sensitive display device and selectively removable from a keyboard and a joystick couplable to the touch-sensitive display device.

Imethods and systems for operably connecting notebook computing components using electropermanent magnets

A dual-contact electro-permanent magnet (EPM) assembly of an information handling system may comprise a plurality of high-coercivity magnets situated on opposite ends of a low-coercivity magnet, a first EPM magnetic contact disposed between a first of the plurality of high-coercivity magnets and the low-coercivity magnet, and a second EPM magnetic contact disposed between a second of the plurality of high-coercivity magnets and the low-coercivity magnet. The low-coercivity magnet polarity may correlate to a direction of current pulse applied to an electrically conductive wire coiled around the low-coercivity magnet, and dependent upon the low-coercivity magnet polarity, the first EPM magnetic contact is capable of operating in an attractive magnetic state to attract a ferromagnetic contact of a peripheral device while the second EPM magnetic contact is magnetically neutral with respect to the ferromagnetic contact.

Embodiments include apparatuses, methods, and systems for computing. An apparatus may include a display screen of a computing device, and an on-screen input interface controller co-located with the display screen. The apparatus may also include a receiver co-located with the display screen to wirelessly receive an off-screen input from an off-screen input support device of the computing device. The off-screen input support device may be separately located from the display screen. The on-screen input interface controller may process an on-screen input provided via an interaction between an on-screen input device and the display screen. In addition, the on-screen input interface controller may further process the off-screen input received by the receiver. Other embodiments may also be described and claimed.

INPUT SYSTEM

An input system comprising: a first input device comprising a display and one or more sensors, wherein the first input device is configured to generate one or more inputs of a first type; a second input device comprising an attachment unit for removably attaching the first input device to the second input device, wherein the second input device is configured to generate one or more inputs of a second type; and a processing device configured to receive the one or more inputs of the first type and the one or more inputs of the second type.
