Keyboard and terminal device

A device includes a holder attached to the casing that is configured to hold an edge of a terminal device. A first clamper is arranged on a first wall of the holder, and a second clamper is arranged on a second wall opposing the first wall so that the first clamper faces the second clamper to exert a pinching force on the edge of the terminal device. A clamper interlocking component decreases the pinching force exerted by the first and second clampers when the edge of the terminal device is inserted toward a bottom surface of the holder, and increases the pinching force exerted by the first and second clampers when the edge of the terminal device is pulled away from the bottom surface of the holder.

System for integrated magnetic retention

A portable information handling system (IHS), including a housing having a main housing portion, a lid housing portion, and a hinge assembly rotatably coupling the main housing portion and the lid housing portion to rotate the lid housing portion through a plurality of angular positions relative to the main housing portion is disclosed. The plurality of positions include a closed position and a tablet position. The portable IHS further includes a lid magnet assembly in the lid housing portion including a point on the lid magnet assembly closest to the hinge assembly in the tablet position at a first position on a y-axis; and a main magnet assembly in the main housing portion including a point on the main magnet assembly closest to the hinge assembly in the tablet position at a second position on a y-axis, wherein the second position is approximately the same as the first position.

An electronic device includes a first unit (100) and a second unit detachable from each other. The second unit includes an input unit, a socket, and a hinge. The socket has a first wall and a second wall. In the first wall and the second wall, a length (L1) of a portion to support both ends of the longitudinal side of the first unit is greater than a length (L2) of a portion to support the region other than both ends of the longitudinal side of the first unit. The lengths (L1) and (L2) are perpendicular to the longitudinal side of the first unit. The portion to support the region other than both ends of the longitudinal side of the first unit has a linear opening-side end parallel to the longitudinal side of the first unit when the first and second walls are seen vertically.

The socket main body includes a first wall and a second wall. The operating member includes a first operating portion disposed on an exterior of the first wall, and a second operating portion disposed on an exterior of the second wall.

Touch-Input Support for an External Touch-Capable Display Device

Touch-input support for an external touch-capable display device is described. A computing device (e.g., a smartphone) is configured to form a connection with an external touch-capable display device that is separate from the computing device. The computing device controls the display of information on the touch-capable display device. A user of the computing device can interact with the external touch-capable display device, such as by touching the screen of the touch-capable display device to select items, perform gestures, or type on the on-screen keyboard. When the user provides touch-input to the external touch-capable display device, the computing device receives an indication of the touch-input via the wired or wireless connection. The computing device then modifies the display of information on the touch-capable display device based on the touch-input.

Systems, devices, components and associated computer executable code for providing remote viewing of a display associated with a computational device

According to some embodiments of the present invention, there may be provided one or more remote display viewing units functionally associated with one or more computational devices. A remote display viewing unit (RDVU) may include a screen and/or other form of displaying component (e.g. retinal projection mechanism) adapted to present to a user a portion and/or complete display of an associated computing device display/screen, Graphic User Interface (GUI), and/or any other graphically rendered data relating to the device. According to further embodiments, a RDVU may include shading components adapted to prevent and/or mitigate exterior lighting/sunshine interference with viewing the remote screen and/or displaying component. For example, the RDVU may include a visor type component.
