Systems and methods for configuration of a controlling device to enable selection of one or more media streams
A controlling device has a configurable key. An insert is provided to the configurable key and includes an indicium representative of a media content provider. An image of the indicium or an image of a QR code associated with the indicium is used to assign one or more commands to the configurable key. The one or more commands are used to cause a controllable device to tune to a channel on which the media content provider is being broadcast, to invoke an app associated with the media content provider, to access a website associated with the media content provider, and the like.
Keyboard module and electronic device
A keyboard module pivotally connected to an electronic device is provided. The keyboard module comprises a bottom plate, a plurality of keys, a keyboard frame and a hinge structure. The plurality of keys are disposed on the bottom plate. The key includes a keycap and a support member for connecting the keycap to the bottom plate. The keyboard frame includes a plurality of openings to expose the keycaps. The hinge structure pivotally connects a display module of the electronic device with the keyboard frame or the bottom plate. When the display module rotates to drive the keyboard frame (or the bottom plate), the keycap moves relative to the keyboard frame (or the bottom plate). An electronic device including the keyboard module is also provided.
Electronic device
An electronic device includes a first electronic unit having a top surface, a first pivot side and a receiving groove, a second electronic unit having a second pivot side pivoted to the first pivot side, an internal module movably received in the receiving groove, and first and second magnetic units respectively disposed on the second pivot side and the internal module. The second electronic unit is pivotable between covering and opening positions that covers and that is distant from the top surface, respectively. The second magnetic unit is magnetically attracted by the first magnetic unit to move one side of the internal module out of the receiving groove and toward the second pivot side when the second electronic unit is in the opening position.
CONTROL OF AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING DISPLAY AND KEYBOARD MOVEABLE RELATIVE TO THE DISPLAY
A method of controlling an electronic device having a display moveable relative to a keyboard, between a first position in which the keyboard is exposed for use and a second position in which the keyboard is not exposed. The method includes, in response to detecting initiation of control of a position of an adjustable setting within a range, entering a control mode at the electronic device, and, in response to detecting movement of the display relative to the keyboard of the electronic device, adjusting the position of the adjustable setting within the range.
KEYBOARD WITH KEY ACCOMMODATION FUNCTION
A keyboard with a key accommodation function is provided, including: a keyboard base body, a plurality of keys, and a flexible rollable panel. The flexible rollable panel and the keys are adjacently disposed on the keyboard base body. The flexible rollable panel includes a panel surface, and a free end portion jointly disposed at one side of the panel surface. Each of the keys has a first matching surface, and the free end portion has a second matching surface. When the flexible rollable panel is unfolded, the second matching surface of the free end portion sequentially abuts against the first matching surfaces of the keys, so that each of the first matching surface is pressed downwards because each of the first matching surface is subjected to a downward vertical component from the second matching surface, thereby unfolding the panel surface above the keys, and reducing space occupied by the keys.
KEY STRUCTURE
A key structure includes a first movable plate, a second movable plate, a keycap, a first linkage lever and a second linkage lever. The second movable plate is disposed over the first movable plate. The keycap is disposed over the second movable plate. The first linkage lever is connected with the keycap and the first movable plate. The second linkage lever is connected with the keycap and the second movable plate. While the first movable plate is moved in a first direction and the second movable plate is moved in a second direction, the first linkage lever and the second linkage lever are moved in different directions, so that a height of the keycap is reduced.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITH KEYBOARD PROTECTION
Particular embodiments described herein provide for an electronic device, such as a notebook computer or laptop, that includes a circuit board coupled to a plurality of electronic components (which includes any type of components, elements, circuitry, etc.). One particular example implementation of the electronic device may include a first housing, a hinge, and a second housing. The second housing can be rotatably coupled to the first housing using the hinge. The second housing can include a first portion, a second hinge, and a second portion. The second portion can be rotatably coupled to the first portion using the second hinge. In an embodiment, the second portion can rotate over the keyboard and the second housing can rotate behind the display. In another embodiment, the second portion can rotate over the key-board and the second housing can rotate in front of the display such that only a portion of display is visible.
Key structure and portable computer using the same
A key structure includes a key cap, a bridge assembly, a first supporting part, a second supporting part, an attractable element and a magnet. The bridge assembly includes first and second hinge parts. One end of the first hinge part has a first link bar, and the other end has a first pivot coupling portion and a first shaft having a first connecting portion. One end of the second hinge part has a second link bar, and the other end has a second pivot coupling portion and a second shaft having a second connecting portion coupled to the first connecting portion. When the magnet under a first attractive position, the first end of the attractable element is attracted to the first attractive position. When the magnet under a second attractive position, the second end of the attractable element is attracted to the second attractive position.
Apparatus and method for facilitating a user grasping a hand-held device
An apparatus that helps a user grasp a hand-held device (10) resting on an underlying surface (S) detects when the user is reaching for the hand-held device. In response to the detection, the apparatus performs an action that elevates at least a part of the hand-held device above the underlying surface. Elevating the hand-held device above the underlying surface allows the user to grasp and lift the hand-held device off of the underlying surface more easily.
Physical keyboards for multi-display computing devices
Apparatus, systems, articles of manufacture, and methods are disclosed for physical keyboards with multi-display computing devices. An example keyboard includes a plurality of keys and a translucent backplate having a first side and a second side. The example keyboard also includes a coating between the first side of the backplate and the plurality of keys, the coating to pass light to illuminate the plurality of keys, and the coating to obscure the plurality keys when viewed from the second side of the backplate.
