PHYSICAL KEYBOARDS FOR MULTI-DISPLAY COMPUTING DEVICES
Apparatus, devices, systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are disclosed for physical keyboards with multi-display computing devices. An example computing device includes a first display, a second display, and a keyboard.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE
An information processing device includes a keyboard, a housing including a keyboard storage in a recessed shape in which the keyboard is housed, a flexible cable extending from the keyboard, an adapter attached to a leading end of the flexible cable, a first connector provided in the adapter and electrically connected to the flexible cable, and a second connector provided in the keyboard storage and connected to the first connector. The keyboard storage includes a bottom surface having an adapter fitting part, the adapter fitting part being in a recessed shape and fits with the adapter. The second connector is disposed in the adapter fitting part, and the first connector and the second connector are connected in a direction orthogonal to the bottom surface of the keyboard storage.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device includes a host, a display, a sliding plate, and a keyboard. The host has an operating surface. The display is pivoted to the host. The sliding plate is slidably disposed in the host, where the display is mechanically coupled to the sliding plate, and the sliding plate includes a plat portion and a recess portion that are arranged side by side. The keyboard is integrated to the host. The keyboard includes a key structure, where the key structure includes a key cap and a reciprocating element, and the key cap is exposed from the operating surface of the host. The reciprocating element is disposed between the key cap and the sliding plate and has a first end connected to the key cap and a second end contacting the sliding plate. The second end is located on a sliding path of the plat portion and the recess portion.
Foldable multimedia terminal
A foldable multimedia terminal capable of providing a keyboard input condition or a dual screen is disclosed, comprising: a foldable keyboard having one-side keyboard and the other-side keyboard foldably connected to the one-side keyboard such that a user performs an input; a first terminal unit which has a touch display so as to allow an input to be carried out by means of the foldable keyboard or by means of touch, while being linked with the foldable keyboard; a second terminal unit which is provided so as to be integrated with or separated from the rear surface of the one-side keyboard and/or the other-side keyboard constituting the foldable keyboard, and which provides the dual screen together with the first terminal unit or takes over the function of the first terminal unit while being linked with the first terminal unit; and a terminal holder.
WIRELESS DEVICES WITH FLEXIBLE MONITORS AND KEYBOARDS
A portable device (e.g., a wireless device such as a cell phone) is provided with a flexible keyboard and a flexible display screen. Such flexible components may be stored in the housing of the portable device when not in use. The flexible display screen and flexible keyboard may be expanded from the housing when the flexible components are utilized by a user. Non-flexible display and input components may be provided on the exterior of the portable device such that the device may be used, in some form, while the flexible components are stored. In one embodiment, a portion of the flexible display (or flexible keyboard) may be utilized when the flexible display (or flexible keyboard) is stored in said first housing.
FOLDABLE MULTIMEDIA TERMINAL
A foldable multimedia terminal capable of providing a keyboard input condition or a dual screen is disclosed, comprising: a foldable keyboard having one-side keyboard and the other-side keyboard foldably connected to the one-side keyboard such that a user performs an input; a first terminal unit which has a touch display so as to allow an input to be carried out by means of the foldable keyboard or by means of touch, while being linked with the foldable keyboard; a second terminal unit which is provided so as to be integrated with or separated from the rear surface of the one-side keyboard and/or the other-side keyboard constituting the foldable keyboard, and which provides the dual screen together with the first terminal unit or takes over the function of the first terminal unit while being linked with the first terminal unit; and a terminal holder.
Physical keyboards for multi-display computing devices

An example computing device includes a support plate, a first display hingedly coupled to the support plate, and a physical keyboard hingedly coupled to the support plate.
IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING KEYBOARD AND KEYBOARD UNIT THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a foldable image display device or a foldable and rollable composite application image display device, which has a flexible display device capable of meeting requirements for a large screen and portability. The image display device having a keyboard is configured such that in a minimized state of the image display device, an attachable/detachable keyboard unit is mounted on the body of the image display device so that the attachable/detachable keyboard unit can be carried as a single piece with the image display device, and in a partially unfolded or wholly unfolded state of the image display device, the keyboard unit is detached to function as a keyboard, where a camera unit applied to the keyboard unit recognizes a user's one-handed gesture, such that it is possible for a user to perform tasks with the device even in the absence of a mouse.
Setting polling interval of open/closed position sensor for a movable portion of an electronic device based on activity state of the electronic device
An electronic device detects ambient contextual data and positioning data such as orientation and motion to determine an activity state of the electronic device. A controller sets a polling interval of an open/closed position sensor that is connected to a movable portion connected to a base to detect an open/closed event. In response to determining a first activity state, controller sets a first polling interval that mitigates power consumption. In response to determining a second activity state, the controller sets the polling interval to a second polling interval that is shorter than the first polling interval to reduce latency in detecting the open/closed event.
Keyboard actuation in convertible device
One embodiment provides a method, including: receiving, at an information handling device, an indication to transmit an electrical pulse to an electropermanent magnet; transmitting, responsive to the receiving and using a pulse transmitter, the electrical pulse to the electropermanent magnet; and affecting a movement of a keyboard of the information handling device based on the received electrical pulse.
