Computer
The present disclosure provides a computer, including: a display component, having a display surface; a main body, including a central processor unit and having a reference surface; and a connector component, configured to connect the display component and the main body and to maintain a relative position of the display component and the main body to be at least in a first state and a second state. In the first state, a first angle is between the display surface and the reference surface; in the second state, a second angle is between the display surface and the reference surface, the first angle is different from the second angle, and the second angle is not zero; and in the first state and in the second state, the main body is located on a side of the display component facing away from the display surface.
Method and device to support a display of an electronic device
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a display. The display includes a display surface and an opposed display back surface. A base is rotatably coupled to the display with a base hinge. The base includes an input surface and an opposed base bottom surface. The base hinge extends along an interface between the display and the base. A retractable standoff includes a standoff body having a standoff hinge to hingeably mount the standoff body to one of the display back surface or base bottom surface. The standoff hinge is moveable between a retracted position and extended position. The standoff body is flush with the display back surface or the base bottom surface when the retractable standoff is in the retracted position. The standoff body includes a standoff body outer edge to abut against another of the display back surface or the base bottom surface when the retractable standoff is in the extended position.
Portable information handling system user interface selection based on keyboard configuration
A portable information handling system user interface adapts based upon a position of a keyboard, such as a position detected by accelerations, Hall sensors, ambient light sensors and/or touchscreen display touches. In one example embodiment, a visual indication presented at a display aids end user location of a keyboard in a hidden position, such as a sliding keyboard disposed under a housing portion or a membrane keyboard integrated in a housing portion lower surface and exposed by a disconnect and flip motion.
System and method for utilizing a tablet kickstand to power up an information handling system
A system and method for powering up a portable information handling system based on a position of a kickstand and a position of a keyboard relative to a chassis. When a kickstand is opened, a power control system determines if a keyboard is attached and opened. If the keyboard is not attached and the kickstand is opened, the power control system initiates powering up the portable information handling system. If the keyboard is attached and closed, the portable information handling system is not powered up. If the keyboard is attached and opened, the power control system initiates powering up the portable information handling system. If the kickstand is opened and the keyboard is opened, the power control system initiates powering up the portable information handling system.
PHYSICAL KEYBOARDS FOR MULTI-DISPLAY COMPUTING DEVICES
Apparatus, devices, systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are disclosed for physical keyboards with multi-display computing devices. An example computing device includes a first display, a second display, and a keyboard.
Physical keyboards for multi-display computing devices
Apparatus, devices, systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are disclosed for physical keyboards with multi-display computing devices. An example computing device includes a support plate, a first display hingedly coupled to the support plate, and a physical keyboard hingedly coupled to the support plate.
Adjustable ergonomic keyboard
An adjustable keyboard having a number of keys is formed in at least two segments which are mutually movable relative-to one another using a hinge or joint. Each of the segments of the keyboard has mounted thereon some of the keys. The adjustable nature of the keyboard reduces stress and discomfort to the user by reducing contortion to the user's wrists. More particularly, discomfort to the user caused by pronation of the wrists and/or ulnar deviation of the wrists is reduced. The hinge or joint is in the form of a ball and socket-type joint with a locking mechanism, which preferably includes a pivoted handle, in the form of a lever, used for locking and unlocking the hinge or joint. The surface of at least one of the ball and socket of the joint define a plurality of recesses or a plurality of projections, to provide increased resistance to joint movement.
