Peripheral housing for a computing device

A computing device can include a housing including a peripheral housing defining an aperture, the peripheral housing having a constant cross-sectional area. The computing device can also include a display having a first major surface and a second major surface opposing the first major surface, the display disposed within the aperture defined by the peripheral housing and attached to the housing at one or more locations such that the first major surface and the second major surface of the display are substantially unobstructed by any other portion of the computing device.

DETACHABLE KEYBOARD AND STAND WITH STRAP HINGE

A cover for a tablet or similar computer device equipped with strap hinges is disclosed. In embodiments, the cover may include three strap hinges to allow the tablet to be placed in several different configurations. The cover is equipped with at least two magnets in different polarities, which may be detected by the tablet. Based on the detection of at least one magnet and its polarity, the tablet may cause the interface of its operating system to be placed into a configuration appropriate to the configuration of the cover. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE

A portable electronic device, including a first body and a second body, is provided. The second body includes a support structure and a display panel. The support structure is pivotally connected to the first body and is connected to the display panel. The support structure has a first bendable portion. An included angle between the first bendable portion and an edge of the support structure is 45 degrees. The support structure is adapted to be bent along the first bendable portion, so that the second body switches between a first mode and a second mode relative to the first body.

The peripheral device is disposed on the first supporting member. The protective cover signal transmission member is disposed on the second supporting member and electrically connected with the peripheral device. The second supporting member supports the tablet computer. The tablet computer includes a computer signal transmission member. The protective cover signal transmission member is used to dock with the computer signal transmission member to perform signal transmission. One of the computer signal transmission member and the protective cover signal transmission member is an electrical block, and the other is an electrical guide rail. A portable electronic device is also provided.

A system includes an external keyboard including a first communication unit, an incoming coil disposed inside thereof, and an input controller configured to control the first communication unit to transmit operating information indicating an input operation from a user, information processing device including a second communication unit configured to communicate with the first communication unit, a planar portion on which the keyboard is mountable, and a feeding coil disposed below the planar portion, the feeding coil configured to supply electricity to the incoming coil by an electromagnetically induced coupling, and a position detector configured to detect a positional relationship between the planar portion and the keyboard based on a coupling strength of the electromagnetically induced coupling between the feeding coil and the incoming coil. An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention may comprise a display, a communication interface, a memory, and a processor, wherein the processor includes the functions of: sensing, through the communication interface, whether an external device is connected; displaying guide text related to keyboard layout configurations by means of the display on the basis of the function of sensing whether the external device is connected; receiving a key value input by a user through the external device; searching for a layout corresponding to the received key value; and setting the found layout as a keyboard layout for the connected external device. Various embodiments are possible.
