An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a first housing, a second housing, a display, and a sound unit configured to output or receive a sound, the sound unit being disposed in the second housing such that the sound is radiated in a first direction through a second side surface in an open state and radiated in a second direction different from the first direction along a first side surface in a closed state.

Display device

A display device including a display panel configured to display an image; a touch sensing device configured to sense a touch of an object; a sound driver configured to generate and transmit a first sound driving signal and a second sound driving signal according to first sound data and second sound data; and a sound generator configured to generate a sound according to the first and second sound driving signals, such that a sound pressure level in a first frequency range is between first and second sound pressure levels in a first operating mode and a second operating mode, wherein the display device is in the first operating mode in response to the touch sensing device not sensing the touch of the object, and the display device is in the second operating mode in response to the touch sensing device sensing the touch of the object.

Speaker with multiple resonators

Aspects of the subject technology relate to electronic devices having speakers with resonators, such as Helmholtz resonators, acoustically coupled to the front volume of the speaker. A speaker module for an electronic device may include multiple resonators, including a first resonator that is acoustically separate from, and at least partially disposed within a second resonator. An acoustic barrier between the first resonator and the second resonator may have a liquid resistance that is different from a liquid resistance that is provided between the first resonator and a back volume of the speaker module and/or between an external environment of the speaker. In one or more implementations, a third resonator may be provided, that is spatially separated from first and second nested and/or adjacent resonators.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING ACOUSTIC ACTUATOR

An electronic device includes a display, a bracket for supporting at least a part of the display, and an acoustic actuator. The acoustic actuator is arranged under the display and includes a vibrating portion for transferring waves to the display and a fixed portion of which at least a part is fixed by the bracket. and the electronic device further includes at least one recess structure of which at least a part is arranged to be spaced from the acoustic actuator. The recess structure is formed to have an acoustic impedance that differs from the acoustic impedance of the bracket which is adjacent to the recess structure.

Speaker assembly in a display assistant device

In a display assistant device, a speaker is mounted in a waveguide structure which is at least partially disposed beneath a display screen. The waveguide structure is mounted in an exterior housing which includes speaker grills distributed on a plurality of surfaces of the exterior housing, permitting sound waves from the speaker to be projected outside the exterior housing. A cover structure is disposed on top of the waveguide structure to conceal the waveguide structure and speaker within the exterior housing. The cover structure has a tilted bottom surface configured to be suspended above the waveguide structure and to be separated by a first space. Sound waves projected from an upper portion of the speaker are reflected by the tilted bottom surface and are guided through the first space to exit the device from a speaker grill portion located on a rear side of the exterior housing.
