Provided is an expansion electronic device suitable for being disposed at an edge of a main framework having therein a motherboard. The expansion electronic device includes an expansion frame bar and functional module. The expansion frame bar has thereon an expansion box. The expansion box has an access opening. The inner rim of the access opening has an inner annular wall. The access opening is covered with a protective cover. The outer rim of the protective cover has an outer annular wall corresponding in shape to the inner annular wall. A resilient annular surface is defined on the outer surface of the outer annular wall. The resilient annular surface abuts against the inner annular wall to hermetically seal the access opening. The functional module is disposed in the expansion box and electrically connected to a control wire exiting the functional module and electrically connected to the motherboard.

Fingerprint sensor configured for avoidance of latent fingerprints

A method may include prompting a user to place their finger within a given sub-region of a fingerprint sensing surface and then obtaining the user's fingerprint. The given sub-region may be selected based on a determined or estimated probability that the given sub-region contains a latent fingerprint. As examples, the given sub-region may be determined randomly, pseudo-randomly, or based on information in a log of historical touch and/or fingerprint locations. The method may further involve tracking which sub-regions of the fingerprint sensing surface may potentially have latent fingerprints. The method may involve prompting the user to wipe one or more sub-regions of the fingerprint sensing surface when more than a predetermined fraction of the fingerprint-sensing surface has been used to obtain fingerprint images.

FOLDING DEVICE

An apparatus can include a processor; memory accessible to the processor; a base housing; a display housing that includes a center panel and folding wings that fold over the center panel to form a recess for the base housing; and a hinge assembly that couples the display housing to the base housing.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SECURING A USER INTERFACE PANEL OF A MULTI-FUNCTION DEVICE

The present disclosure discloses a method and a system for securing a user interface (UI) panel of a multi-function device. The method includes activating a retraction assembly, based on one or more retraction triggering conditions. Once the retraction assembly is activated, multiple components of the retraction assembly start functioning. At first, the UI panel is moved to a first position. Next, the UI panel is moved from the first position to a second position. Then, the UI panel in the second position is retracted into the multi-function device to secure the UI panel inside the multi-function device. This way, the UI panel is secured inside the multi-function device. Later, the retracted UI panel may be moved out of the multi-function device. To move the UI panel outside the multi-function device, the retraction assembly is activated again based on the one or more protraction triggering conditions.

The present invention relates to a device, method, and system for drawing, printing, and uploading an artwork or picture drawn on a touch surface. A multipurpose drawing tablet is designed for enabling children to draw on a touch surface with a stylus or a finger. The tablet features a touch surface for sensing pressure and movement of the stylus or finger, a built-in printer for printing a drawn picture or artwork on the touch surface, a paper feeding slot for feeding physical papers for printing, and a wireless communication module for establishing a wireless channel with at least one handheld electronic device for transmitting the drawn picture or artwork. A computer implemented application receives the artwork or picture and stores and uploads to a cloud storage, a website, or any social media.

Wearable devices for courier processing and methods of use thereof
11320858 · 2022-05-03 · ·

The disclosed embodiments include wearable devices and methods for performing courier services. In one implementation, the device includes a depth camera for detecting object depths in a field of view, a scanner for decoding visual codes, a speaker for producing audible sounds in response to an electrical signal, memory, and a processor. The processor may execute instructions to detect a scanning event based on a first signal received from the depth camera, determine a scan region associated with the scanning event, provide a second signal to the scanner causing the scanner to decode a visual code located within the scan region, generate scan data based on a third signal received from the scanner, and provide a fourth signal to the speaker causing the speaker to emit a notification sound. The wearable device may also capture signatures, dimension objects, and disable device functions based on time and place restrictions.

MULTI-MODE POINT-OF-SALE DEVICE

Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for a cloud-based point-of-sale system and a multi-function point-of-sale (POS) device. In an embodiment, the POS device includes an interactive display that switches between a first position oriented towards and for use by an operating clerk, and a second position oriented towards and for use by a customer. The POS device is able to detect the switch between the first position and the second position. A processor in the POS device outputs a first graphical user interface (GUI) on the interactive display in response to detection of the first position and a second GUI in response to detection of the second position. In an embodiment, the components of the POS device are combined together in a unified assembly.
