KEYBOARD MANAGEMENT USER INTERFACES
The present disclosure relates to user interfaces for receiving handwriting input, accessing predictive text candidates, and accessing keyboards.
DETERMINING GRAPHICAL ELEMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH TEXT
A computing device is described that includes at least one processor and a memory including instructions that when executed cause the at least one processor to output for display a graphical keyboard comprising a plurality of keys, determine, based on an indication of a selection of one or more keys from the plurality of keys, inputted, determine, based on the inputted text, an information category associated with the inputted text, determine, based on the information category, a graphical symbol associated with the information category, and output, for display, the graphical symbol in a suggestion region of the graphical keyboard.
METHOD FOR ADJUSTING INPUT VIRTUAL KEYBOARD AND INPUT APPARATUS
The present disclosure provides a method for adjusting an input virtual keyboard and an input, apparatus, which are directed to solve the problem of one-hand operation in existing input virtual keyboards. The method comprises: based oil a received keyboard floating instruction, adjusting a size of an input window to a screen size; intercepting a click event performed on a touchscreen by a user and detecting the click event; and when the click event is detected as a keyboard adjustment instruction, based on the keyboard adjustment instruction, adjusting at least one of a drawing position and a drawing size of an input view, wherein the input view is a region for drawing the input virtual keyboard in the input window. Because the entire screen region is the input window, the input view for drawing the virtual keyboard floats in the input window, and the position and size of the input view can be adjusted as desired, thereby facilitating one-hand operation by the user, realizing the rapid input, and improving the input efficiency.
Interface, character input guide method, and program
An interface performs a flick operation with a button selected from buttons of representative characters for each of the syllabic lines of the Japanese syllabary that are array-displayed on a touch panel so as to specify any one of Japanese characters assigned to the representative character in advance. The interface includes a storage unit that stores association information in which up, down, left, and right directions are set to each of the characters assigned to the representative characters in association with each button and a guide image display processing unit that displays a guide image guiding arrangement directions set to the characters assigned to the representative characters prior to selection of a button of the representative character in an outside of an array display region of the representative character.
INPUTTING IMAGES TO ELECTRONIC DEVICES
A computing device is described which has a memory storing text input by a user. The computing device has a processor which is configured to send the text to a prediction engine having been trained to predict images from text. The processor is configured to receive from the prediction engine, in response to the sent text, a plurality of predictions, each prediction comprising an image predicted as being relevant to the text. The processor is configured to insert a plurality of the images into the text on the basis of criteria comprising one or more of: ranks of the predictions, categories of the images, rules associated with one or more of the images, user input, a trigger word. The processor is configured to insert the plurality of images into the text sequentially, in an order corresponding to ranks of the predictions.

Device, methods, and user interface for providing optimized entry of alphanumeric text
The present invention includes a device, method, and user interface for providing optimized entry of alphanumeric text. In one form, a method for providing selectable characters within a user interface includes determining an operating mode of a communication device and receiving an input associated with a selected input key. The method determines a group of characters associated with the selected key based on the operating mode and displays the group of characters within the user interface. The user interface may display a first character of the group of characters within a first portion of the user interface and the group of characters proximal to the first character within a second portion of the user interface.
Semaphore gesture for human-machine interface
An embodiment of the invention provides a gesture recognition system (GRS) that displays a graphical user interface in which symbols are grouped into “pods” on a display screen, and a user enters a desired symbol into a computer by selecting a pod containing the desired symbol, and then selecting the symbol from a display of the symbols in the selected pod using hand motions without having to contact the display screen or use a manual controller.
METHOD FOR INPUTTING TEXT BY TOUCH PAD
The purpose of the present invention is enable Korean text and other text to be more conveniently inputted into devices using a touch pad of a smart phone or the like. The present invention enables the next letter arranged on the same button to be immediately selected without a shift key or a separate function corresponding thereto. The present invention enables the next arranged letter to be selected when any part of a screen is touched while a corresponding letter is pressed, instead of the conventional way of continuously pressing a shift key or the same button within a wait time for inputting a letter also arranged on the same button. Through the present invention, the need for users to change the keyboard is reduced when inputting letters, the number of buttons to be inputted is reduced when one word or one sentence is completed in comparison with conventional input methods, and a wait time is reduced such that it is possible to more conveniently and quickly complete a desired word and a desired sentence.
VARIABLE DWELL TIME KEYBOARD
The systems and techniques described herein implement an improved gaze-based on-screen keyboard that provide dynamically variable dwell times to increase throughput and reduce errors. Utilizing a language model, the probability that each key of the on-screen keyboard will be the subsequential key can be determined, and based at least in part on this determined probability, a dwell time can be assigned to each key. When used as an iterative process, a minimum dwell time may be gradually reduced as confidence in the subsequential key increases to provide a cascading minimum dwell time.
