DISPLAY INCLUDING HOT MIRROR
An apparatus includes a display stack comprising at least one layer to generate a digital display image. A front stack includes a position encoded contrast layer to provide a pattern of light in response to non-visible light applied to the position encoded contrast layer. The pattern of light encodes spatial information across a surface of the position encoded contrast layer. A hot mirror reflects the non-visible light applied to the position encoded contrast layer of the front stack and is optically transparent to visible light generated from the display stack.
DISPLAY CONTROL SYSTEM, METHOD, AND PROGRAM
Display control systems, methods, and programs obtain an indicated location indicated by a pointer, based on an output from a pointing device, and display, on a display, a user interface screen that displays icons at predetermined locations and displays the pointer indicating the indicated location. The systems methods, and programs draw, when the indicated location is present in a draw-in region including one of the icons, the indicated location into the icon. The systems methods, and programs set, when a first icon and a second icon for performing operations related to a same function are arranged side by side on the display, a first draw-in region including the first icon and a second draw-in region including the second icon such that the first draw-in region and the second draw-in region are present in a region between the first icon and the second icon and adjacent to each other.
Instrument Detection with an Optical Touch Sensitive Device, with Associating Contacts with Active Instruments
An optical touch-sensitive device detects touch events caused by instruments (e.g., pens, styluses) and distinguishes these events from touch events caused by fingers. In some embodiments, different instruments can also be distinguished. The optical touch-sensitive device includes multiple emitters and detectors. Each emitter produces optical beams which are received by the detectors. The optical beams preferably are multiplexed in a manner so that many optical beams can be received by a detector simultaneously. Touch events disturb the optical beams, for example due to frustrated total internal reflection. Information indicating which optical beams have been disturbed is analyzed to detect one or more touch events. The analysis also distinguishes instrument touch events from finger touch events.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING DISPLAY APPARATUS, AND DISPLAY APPARATUS
A method for controlling a display apparatus, the method comprising, displaying, in a first mode, a first image based on received image data having first resolution on a display surface at a first display size corresponding to the first resolution, displaying, in a second mode, a second image based on the image data having second resolution smaller than the first resolution on the display surface at a second display size corresponding to the second resolution, converting, when the display apparatus accepts the operation of increasing the second display size in the second mode, the first resolution of image data to third resolution corresponding to the operation, displaying a third image based on the image data having the third resolution on the display surface.
ELECTRONIC STYLUS HAVING IMAGE CAPABILITIES
An electronic device comprising a stylus; said stylus comprising a pointed end having a touch capable compression tip, and a top end, said top end comprising a rotatable element disposed of at the end of the top end, comprising a first electronic element mounted on said rotatable element, a second electronic element mounted below said rotatable element; a first contact point and a second contact point disposed on said stylus between said second electronic element and said pointed end; and at least one sensing button; said stylus comprising means for electronically communicating with said electronic device.
Measuring light using a digital pen
Apparatuses, methods, systems, and program products are disclosed for measuring light using a digital pen. An apparatus includes a processor and a memory that stores code executable by the processor. In one embodiment, the processor determines whether a digital pen that is configured to communicate with an information handling device is in a docked position. The processor receives a light measurement sensed by the digital pen and performs an adjustment to an output parameter of a display for the information handling device in response to receiving the light measurement. A method, system, and computer program product may perform the functions of the apparatus.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
There is provided an information processing device, an information processing method, and a system that are able to enhance convenience of a user by guiding the user to an appropriately recognizable area in a case where a position of an operating tool that is being operated is in an unrecognizable area. The information processing device includes a controller (120, 140, 170) that performs a recognition process of recognizing, on a basis of a captured image obtained by imaging a projection area, the position of the operating tool inside the projection area, an operation detection process of detecting, on a basis of sensor data outputted by a sensor included in the operating tool, that an operation is performed on the operating tool, and, a case where the operation performed on the operating tool is detected by the operation detection process and the position of the operating tool is not recognized by the recognition process, a projection control process of causing a projection section to project an image for guiding the operating tool to a position which is inside the projection area and where the position of the operating tool is recognizable by the recognition process.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, PROGRAM, DISPLAY SYSTEM, DISPLAY METHOD, AND ELECTRONIC WRITING INSTRUMENT
An information processing device includes: an acquisition unit and an association unit. The acquisition unit acquires first information, generated by processing a detection result which is output from a first sensor provided outside an electronic writing instrument, which includes a trajectory traced by the electronic writing instrument in writing of an object on a display image and second information, generated by processing a detection result which is output from a second sensor provided in the electronic writing instrument to detect a movement of the electronic writing instrument, which includes a trajectory traced by the electronic writing instrument in writing of the object on the display image. The association unit associates the object with the electronic writing instrument using the first information and the second information.
