Transparent Application Window
Methods and systems for transparent user-interfaces are described herein. A computing device may generate an overlay that includes content of an application executable on a computing device. The overlay may be operative in a first mode and a second mode. The first mode may be configured to enable input received on the overlay to initiate operations of another application, and the second mode may be configured to initiate operations of the application included within the overlay in response to input received thereon. The computing device may provide the overlay on top of a window of the other application within a user interface of the computing device to display the overlay in a transparent fashion. The computing device may execute the overlay in the first mode so that receipt of input on the overlay causes the other application to perform an operation.
IMAGE QUALITY IMPROVING METHOD, OPTICAL NAVIGATION DEVICE CONTROL METHOD, AND OPTICAL NAVIGATION DEVICE USING THE METHODS
A computer readable recording medium comprising at least one program stored therein. An image quality improving method is performed when the program is executed. The image quality improving method comprises: (a) computing brightness contrast information of an original image captured by an image sensor of an optical navigation device; (b) computing a brightness variation level of the original image; and (c) improving an image quality of the original image based on the brightness contrast information and the brightness variation level.
Electronic signature capture via secure interface
A system and method for capturing an electronic signature from a mouse, signature pad, or other input device is disclosed. The system comprises: a signer interface and a separate user interface. The signer interface is configured to present text to a signer via the input device and receive position data representing the points of an electronic signature. The user interface is configured to: select a document for signature based on input from a user, define at least one signature insertion area in the document, define at least one signature capture window, enable the input of position data from the signer interface when the at least one signature capture window is defined, draw at least one signature in the at least one signature capture window; map the at least one signature from the at least one signature capture window to the at least one signature insertion area in the document, and disable the input from the signer interface when the at least one signature is integrated in the document.
MOUSE INPUT FUNCTION FOR PEN-SHAPED WRITING, READING OR POINTING DEVICES
An apparatus and method for providing a structure and function to a pen-type handheld writing, reading or pointing device to enable usage of the device to perform operations similar to a computer mouse for a computing device. The structure includes an optical sensor, a portion of the optical sensor surface that can perform operations of a clickable button, and a structure to support a connection to the computing device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING AND EXECUTING A WIRELESS GAMING KEYBOARD AND MOUSE ADAPTER SYSTEM
A wireless gaming keyboard and mouse adapter system may comprise a wireless gaming keyboard and mouse adapter housing, forming a dongle operably coupled to an input device, within which an electrical circuit and an antenna are embedded within a plurality crystal polymer layers for housing a network interface device, a USB-C adapter mounting, and a controller, which may be electrically coupled via the electrical circuit, and where the network interface device is electrically coupled to the antenna. The controller may receive input/output gaming instructions for the gaming software application, via the USB-C adapter, from an input device for a remote information handling system executing the gaming software application, and may execute wireless gaming keyboard and mouse adapter system code instructions to direct the network interface device to transceive the input/output gaming instructions to a cloud-based gaming application server via the wireless network Access Point (AP) at frequencies above 24 GHz.
EFFICIENT COLLABORATION USING A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT
In an approach to assisting users of a collaborative meeting platform, one or more computer processors detect a start of a collaborative meeting. One or more computer processors monitor one or more activities of the collaborative meeting. Based on the one or more activities of the collaborative meeting, one or more computer processors detect a trigger for assistance with a user interface of the collaborative meeting. One or more computer processors retrieve one or more correlated actions associated with the trigger. One or more computer processors perform at least one of the one or more retrieved correlated action within the user interface of the collaborative meeting.
Interactive 3D cursor for use in medical imaging
An interactive 3D cursor facilitates selection and manipulation of a three-dimensional volume from a three-dimensional image. The selected volume image may be transparency-adjusted and filtered to remove selected tissues from view. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of tissues in a selected volume may be performed. Location indicators, annotations, and registration markers may be overlaid on selected volume images.
Electronic apparatus and method for controlling the same
An electronic apparatus includes a reception unit configured to receive an eye gaze input based on an eye gaze of a user. In a case where the eye gaze input is received by the reception unit, a control unit performs control to move an indicator to a position based on the eye gaze input if an operation performed on an operation unit satisfies a first condition, not to move the indicator if the operation performed on the operation unit satisfies the first condition but does not satisfy a second condition after moving the indicator to the position based on the eye gaze input, and to move the indicator from the position based on the eye gaze input by a movement amount corresponding to an operation amount if the operation performed on the operation unit satisfies the second condition.
COMPUTER INPUT DEVICES WITH HYBRID TRANSLATION MODES
In some aspects, the disclosure is directed to methods and systems for a hybrid position and rate control input device comprising: a housing comprising an upper portion and a lower portion; a force-detecting sensor configured to detect a translation or rotation of the upper portion relative to the lower portion; a motion-detecting sensor within one of the upper portion and the lower portion of the housing, configured to detect motion of the housing relative to a surface; a communication interface positioned within the housing; and a processor positioned within the housing configured to select between a first translation signal from the motion-detecting sensor and a second translation signal from the force-detecting sensor; and transmit, via the communication interface to a computing device, the selected translation signal.
Microswitch and operating device
A microswitch includes a contact chamber that accommodates a contact mechanism that opens and closes an electrical circuit; an enclosure that accommodates the contact chamber; and a pressing component that accepts a pressure external to the enclosure. The pressing component may include an insertion part that is inserted into an insertion hole in the contact chamber and acts on the contact mechanism, the insertion part receiving a pressure external thereto and moving from a first side that is outward of the enclosure to a second side that is inward of the enclosure. The pressing component may include a shielding part that shields the insertion hole from the contact chamber side, the shielding part being larger than the insertion hole in a direction orthogonal to an insertion direction to block the insertion hole.
