Examples disclosed herein involve calibrating an input device to a display using the input device. An example method includes determining first coordinates of a position-encoded film corresponding to a location of an input device relative to the position-encoded film of a display of a computing device based on first position points of the position-encoded film, determining second coordinates of a pixel array corresponding to the location of the input device relative to the pixel array of the display based on a first reference pixel of the display, measuring a first offset between the first coordinates of the position-encoded film and the second coordinates of the pixel array, and calculating a calibration transformation to control the computing device based on the first offset.

In one embodiment, an interactive communication device includes one or more electrodes and a radio transceiver. The one or more electrodes may be excited to capacitively couple with one or more electrodes of a proximate communication device so as to capacitively send a cryptographic key from the interactive communication device to the proximate communication device. The radio transceiver may be configured to communicate with a radio transceiver of the proximate communication device via a radio channel. The interactive communication device may be configured to subsequently exchange encrypted communications with the proximate communication device over the radio channel. The encrypted communications may be encrypted using the cryptographic key.

The subject disclosure presents systems and methods for automatically selecting meaningful regions on a whole-slide image and performing quality control on the resulting collection of FOVs. Density maps may be generated quantifying the local density of detection results. The heat maps as well as combinations of maps (such as a local sum, ratio, etc.) may be provided as input into an automated FOV selection operation. The selection operation may select regions of each heat map that represent extreme and average representative regions, based on one or more rules. One or more rules may be defined in order to generate the list of candidate FOVs. The rules may generally be formulated such that FOVs chosen for quality control are the ones that require the most scrutiny and will benefit the most from an assessment by an expert observer.

A wireless interface is used in order to communicate with a computer. The inertial sensors serve to verify the handwritten signature of the user, while the lens and camera serve to carry out a comparison with the text of an electronic document uploaded via the wireless interface. In this way it is ensured that verified information enters the trusted environment of the stylus.
