Apparatus, system and method for using a universal controlling device for displaying a graphical user element in a display device

An apparatus, system and method is described for controlling one or more consumer electronic devices that is performed by a smart device. The smart device causes one or more graphical elements, each for performing a particular operation to be displayed. The smart device then causes an action to be performed when the user selects one of the graphical elements, for example by pressing one of the keys on the universal controlling device or by speaking a command.

METHOD FOR PROCESSING TOUCH INPUT AND AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE THEREOF

A method for operating an electronic device is provided. Aspects include configuring a touch slop corresponding to a reference for performing a scroll in response to detection of a first touch event and acquiring touch information corresponding to a current touch point every predetermined time while the first touch event is maintained. Based on a determination that a touch movement distance exceeds the touch slop, based on the acquired touch information, aspects include initiating a scroll for a first screen displayed on the display module. Aspects further include identifying scroll data comprising at least one of a movement speed, a movement distance, and deceleration of the first touch event, based on the touch information acquired while the scroll is performed and determining whether to end the scroll, based on the scroll data to control a state of the scroll for the first screen.

HANDHELD WIRELESS POINTING DEVICE NOT REQUIRING FLAT SURFACE

A system for promoting user manipulation of pointing device while operating keyboard is provided. The system comprises a computer, a USB device coupled to the computer, and a handheld wireless pointing device with a first surface positioned against a palm of a user's hand. The device receives tactile contact from a thumb of the hand on a touchpad on a second surface, the second surface opposite the first surface and facing away from the palm. The device also measures movement of the thumb on the second surface and transmits messaging to the USB regarding the measured movement. The USB, based on the received messaging, directs movement of a cursor on a display of the computer. The movement of the cursor is aligned with the movement of the thumb. The device receives attachment to the hand via loops attached to user index and middle fingers.

Touchpad module and computing device using same

A touchpad module includes a touch member, a bracket, a piezoelectric vibration unit and an elastic element. The bracket is located under the touch member. A portion of the touch member is exposed to a first perforation of the bracket. The piezoelectric vibration unit is aligned with the first perforation of the bracket. The piezoelectric vibration unit has a first surface and a second surface, which are opposed to each other. The elastic element installed on the bracket and contacted with the second surface of the piezoelectric vibration unit. When the piezoelectric vibration unit vibrates, a first reaction force is generated between the first surface of the piezoelectric vibration unit and the portion of the touch member exposed to the first perforation, and a second reaction force is generated between the second surface of the piezoelectric vibration unit and the elastic element.

KEYBOARD DEVICE

A keyboard device includes a substrate, a touch panel module, a cover plate, a cover layer, an elastic layer, and an adhesive layer. The touch panel module is disposed on a top surface of the substrate and includes a circuit board. The cover plate covers the top surface and includes an avoidance hole defined through an upper surface and a lower surface of the cover plate. The cover layer covers the upper surface and includes a through hole. The through hole corresponds to the avoidance hole. The elastic layer is in the through hole and includes a peripheral portion. The peripheral portion is seamlessly connected to a hole edge of the through hole. The adhesive layer is adhered between a first inner surface of the cover layer and the upper surface and adhered between a second inner surface of the elastic layer and the circuit board.

Example systems, devices, media, and methods are described for presenting a virtual experience using the display of an eyewear device in augmented reality. A content delivery application implements and controls the detecting of beacons broadcast from beacon transmitters deployed at fixed locations and determining the current eyewear location based on the detected beacons. The method includes retrieving content and presenting a virtual experience based on the retrieved content, the beacon data, and a user profile. The virtual experience includes playing audio messages, presenting text on the display, playing video segments on the display, and combinations thereof. In addition to wireless detection of beacons, the method includes scanning and decoding a beacon activation code positioned near the beacon transmitter to access a beacon.

GENERATING MARK INFORMATION ON A VIRTUAL OBJECT

A method for generating mark information in a virtual environment includes displaying a target-perspective picture showing the virtual environment, a sight bead pointing to an aiming position, and receiving a mark operation triggered on a mark control interface. The method further includes, in response to receiving the mark operation, generating, according to the received mark operation, mark information on a virtual object to which the aiming position points. The virtual object on which the mark information is generated is a movable object, a virtual prop, a virtual building, or a virtual landscape object in the virtual environment. The generated mark information is visible at a position of the virtual object in the virtual environment to one or more teammates of the virtual character.

SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR RECREATIONAL SPORT HEADS-UP DISPLAY CONTROL
20230214017 · 2023-07-06 ·

Technologies are disclosed herein for controlling a head-mountable heads-up display system comprising a heads-up display unit and a hand cover. The hand cover includes a plurality of input elements located on appendages thereof that are configured to cause the hand cover to transmit input signals to the heads-up display unit. The heads-up display unit is configured to display virtual image content within a field of view of a user. As a result of receiving a user input, the heads-up display unit may display virtual image content based on a user input. The heads-up display unit updates the virtual image content as a result of receiving an input signal corresponding to an interaction between a pair of input elements of the hand cover. The heads-up display system may be useable in connection with a system of an outdoor recreational area to obtain information regarding the outdoor recreational area.

Touch input cursor manipulation

An electronic device with a touch screen display displays content of an electronic document, including text, and a cursor is displayed at a line of text within the electronic document. A multi-finger swipe gesture is detected, and in accordance with a determination that the multi-finger swipe gesture is in a direction at least partially parallel to the line of text and towards an edge of the touch screen display, the cursor is moved to a distal point of the text.
