ELECTRONIC APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
An electronic apparatus and a method of controlling the same, the electronic apparatus including: a display; and a processor configured to: receive a writing input for user authentication, identify writing content of the writing input and pen attribute of the writing input, perform the user authentication based on whether the identified writing content of the writing input and pen attribute of the writing input match writing content and pen attribute obtained in association with authentication data of a user registered prior to the writing input being received, and control the display to display an image based on the writing input according to which the user authentication has been performed.
POSITION DETECTION CIRCUIT, POSITION DETECTION SYSTEM, AND POSITION DETECTION METHOD
Provided is a position detection circuit for detecting a position of an electronic pen and a position of a passive pointer on a touch surface disposed on a capacitive touch sensor constituted by a plurality of sensor electrodes arranged two-dimensionally, the electronic pen being configured to be capable of transmitting a pen signal, the passive pointer not transmitting any signal, the position detection circuit configured to detect a touch position indicative of the position of the passive pointer, and output the touch position if a size of a region forming the touch position is within a predetermined range, in which, if the electronic pen was in contact with the touch surface and becomes detached therefrom, the output of the touch position is temporarily inhibited.
Touch sensing device supporting a plurality of protocols
In an embodiment, various active pens may be searched for in every frame, so that various active pens may operate in a touch sensing system.
Pen system with internal pressure tilt rotation
A pen apparatus with a pressure sensitive tip mechanism that internally generates pressure, tilt, and/or barrel rotation through the use of a multi-axis measurement scheme with simultaneous transmit, receive, and sensing driver capability operable in conjunction with a receiving system or in a relative stand-alone manner. Signaling schemes are provided for operating the pen apparatus to achieve improved function. Systems and methods are provided for operating a pen, and for operating a pen with a touch sensor system. Drive/receive circuitry and methods of driving and receiving sensor electrode signals are provided that allow digital I/O pins to be used to interface with touch sensor electrodes. This circuitry may be operated in modes to sense various combinations of signals coupled within a pen, or from outside of a pen.
Air mouse mode implementation method and related device
An air mouse mode implementation method includes establishing, by an electronic device, a communication connection to a stylus through BLUETOOTH, sending, by the electronic device, notification information to the stylus through the communication connection when detecting a screen casting event of the electronic device, where the notification information instructs to enter an air mouse mode, receiving, by the electronic device, a determining instruction from the stylus through the communication connection, entering, by the electronic device, the air mouse mode based on the determining instruction, and modifying, from an arrow icon to a dot icon and by the electronic device, an indication icon corresponding to the stylus.
Information input device, method, and computer-readable medium for operating a controller in different modes corresponding to different device drivers
An information input device includes: a communication interface configured to communicate with each of a first external apparatus that operates using a first operating system and a second external apparatus that operates using a second operating system; and a controller configured to operate in a first mode corresponding to a first driver used by the first external apparatus when transferring data to the first external apparatus, and operate in a second mode corresponding to a second driver different from the first driver and used by the second external apparatus when transferring data to the second external apparatus.
Sensor controller, position indicator, and position detecting system
A sensor controller is provided for use in a position detector for detecting a position of a position indicator on a touch surface. The sensor controller includes a microprocessor for outputting a value of a symbol to be sent to the position indicator. The sensor controller includes a transmitter coupled to the microprocessor for generating a transmission signal including a chip string CN1 produced by cyclically shifting a code string PNa having autocorrelation characteristics by a shift quantity based on the value of the symbol to be sent, and sending the generated transmission signal to the position indicator via the touch surface. A higher bit rate can be obtained for a given chip rate compared with the prior art in which only 1 bit can be expressed by one code string.
INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, POSITION INDICATOR, AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING MOVEMENT OF DISPLAY OBJECT ON DISPLAY SCREEN OF INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
An information processing system includes: an information processing apparatus; and a position indicator configured to input position information to the information processing apparatus. The position indicator includes: a first sensor configured to detect a movement amount of a fingertip of a user, a second sensor configured to detect a tilt of the position indicator, and a transmission section configured to transmit data indicative of the movement amount detected by the first sensor and of the tilt detected by the second sensor. The information processing apparatus includes: a reception section configured to receive the data transmitted from the position indicator, and a first processor configured to control a movement of a display object displayed on a display screen on the basis of the tilt and the movement amount indicated by the data received by the reception section.
POSITION INDICATOR AND INPUT SYSTEM
A position indicator that is used with a position detection device including a position detection sensor, the position indicator including a first function module and a second function module. The first function module includes a core body that, in operation, is brought into contact with an input surface for position detection in the position detection sensor, and a position detection signal transmission circuit, in operation, that transmits a position detection signal to the position detection sensor. The second function module includes a first function circuit that, in operation, generates characteristic selection information corresponding to a characteristic of the core body or a characteristic of the input surface and transmits the characteristic selection information, or a second function circuit that, in operation, generates a stimulus corresponding to the characteristic selection information such that a user who is holding the position indicator audibly or tactilely perceives the stimulus.
METHOD FOR PROCESSING TOUCH INPUT AND AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE THEREOF
A method for operating an electronic device is provided. Aspects include configuring a touch slop corresponding to a reference for performing a scroll in response to detection of a first touch event and acquiring touch information corresponding to a current touch point every predetermined time while the first touch event is maintained. Based on a determination that a touch movement distance exceeds the touch slop, based on the acquired touch information, aspects include initiating a scroll for a first screen displayed on the display module. Aspects further include identifying scroll data comprising at least one of a movement speed, a movement distance, and deceleration of the first touch event, based on the touch information acquired while the scroll is performed and determining whether to end the scroll, based on the scroll data to control a state of the scroll for the first screen.
