Disclosed is a timing controller including a coordinate data generation circuit configured to generate X coordinate emission data for each data line group and Y coordinate emission data for each gate line group, a selection circuit configured to output the X coordinate emission data during an X coordinate field and to output the Y coordinate emission data during a Y coordinate field, and a control data generation circuit configured to output control data for allowing each pixel to emit light in units of the data line groups based on the X coordinate emission data during the X coordinate field and allowing each pixel to emit light in units of the gate line groups based on the Y coordinate emission data during the Y coordinate field, wherein the X coordinate emission data for each data line group and the Y coordinate emission data for each gate line group have random color.

The invention relates to an optical stylus (10) for an optical position determination device (1) comprising a position-encoded surface (50) having different position-encoding patterns (52). The optical stylus (10) comprises a housing (12) including: an image sensor (20) for capturing at least one image of any position-encoding pattern (52) of the position-encoded surface (50); an optical arrangement (15) comprising a dynamic optical element (16) configured to be electrically actuated in order to adjust the focal length of the optical stylus (10) as a function of a separation distance (D) between a reference point of the optical stylus (10) and the position of any position-encoding pattern (52) to have a substantially in-focus position-encoding pattern (52) corresponding to the position of the optical stylus (10), and a control unit (24) to control the dynamical optical element (16). The optical stylus further comprises a distance measurement sensor (32) to measure the separation distance (D). The control unit (24) is adapted for actuating the dynamic optical element (16) to adjust the focal length of the optical stylus (10) as a function of the output signal of the distance measurement sensor (32).

An interaction method for a display device includes: receiving a laser signal emitted by an emission device, wherein the laser signal is displayed on a laser sensing screen of the display device in at least one laser cursor; obtaining position information of the at least one laser cursor on the laser sensing screen; obtaining operation information transmitted by the emission device; and performing a corresponding operation according to the operation information and the position information of the at least one laser cursor. A handwriting input device having the shape of a digital pen, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a pen tip formed on one side of the pen; a light source part for irradiating coherent light to a surface around the pen tip; first and second image sensors for respectively sensing coordinate components necessary for calculating movement coordinates of the pen according to a user's handwriting input by using at least a portion of the coherent light reflected from the surface and received; and a processor for calculating the movement coordinates of the pen by using the coordinate components sensed through the first and second image sensors, wherein the first and second image sensors are disposed such that the distances between each sensor and the pen tip are the same.
