METHOD AND APPARATUS OF USING A COMPUTER TOUCHPAD OR DIGITIZER STYLUS PAD AS A MOUSEPAD
A design that allows a touchpad or a digitizer stylus pad to double up as a mouse mat/pad so that a computer mouse can be used over it is provided. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus for managing input devices are provided. The apparatus may determine whether a surface input is received at an input surface. The apparatus may determine whether a mouse input is received at a computer mouse. The apparatus may disable one of the input surface and the computer mouse that has a lower priority than another of the input surface and the computer mouse when the surface input and the mouse input are received at respective input device within a threshold window of time.
Wearable accessory device charging
One embodiment provides a method, including: detecting, at a wireless charger integrated into an electronic device, a connection of a wearable accessory device, wherein the wireless charger is positioned proximate to a probable user contact position; and transmitting, using the wireless charger and during a period when the connection is established, a charge to the wearable accessory device; wherein the wearable accessory device is worn by a user during the connection. Surface classification reporting and sensor tuning for a computer peripheral device
A system including a first device with a surface and an identification feature that includes or encodes machine-readable data related to the surface, and a second device including a sensor and one or more processors coupled to the sensor that are configured to determine a relative displacement of the second device as it is moved along the surface of the first device. The second device receives the machine-readable data related to the surface from the identification features from the first device and configures the second device to determine the relative displacement along the surface differently (e.g., improves displacement tracking) based on the machine-readable data related to the surface.
CUSTOMIZABLE RUMBLE EFFECT IN GAMING ACCESSORY
A device for online gaming includes a memory that stores instructions. A processor coupled to the memory, responsive to executing the instructions, performs operations including receiving a selection of a gaming accessory, receiving a selection of a game, and receiving inputs corresponding to selections of parameters for generating a vibration effect at the gaming accessory. The parameters include a control component of the gaming accessory, a game event associated with the control component, a vibration frequency of the vibration effect associated with the game event, a vibration intensity and duration, and a delay time associated with the event. The processor stores the selected parameters and presents the vibration effect during the game in accordance with occurrence of the game event and in accordance with the selected parameters; the vibration effect is presented after the occurrence of the game event in accordance with the delay time.
TOUCH PEN SENSOR
An example touch/pen (T/P) sensor device includes a T/P sensor to generate position information based on user interaction with a sensor surface of the T/P sensor, and a color sensor to sense a color hue of a writing tip of a pencil to be used to interact with the sensor surface of the T/P sensor to generate a digital image. The T/P sensor device also includes a processor to record metadata with the digital image to indicate the sensed color hue.
Programmable actuation force input for an accessory and methods thereof
A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, a button including a fixed force magnet coupled to a first housing assembly component serving as a top portion of the button, a variable force magnet coupled to a second housing assembly serving as a bottom portion of the button, and a spring coupled to the fixed force magnetic and the variable force magnet for repelling the fixed force magnet from the variable force magnet according to a spring constant of the spring. The variable force magnet emitting a magnetic field to counter the spring constant and thereby adjust a force required to depress the button. Additional embodiments are disclosed.
MOUSE PAD DEVICE
A mouse pad device is provided. The mouse pad device includes a mouse pad body, a first mouse pad secondary resonant circuit, and a second mouse pad secondary resonant circuit. The first mouse pad secondary resonant circuit receives an external wireless power from a wireless power supply. The second mouse pad secondary resonant circuit receives a relay wireless power from the first mouse pad secondary resonant circuit. The first mouse pad secondary resonant circuit and the second mouse pad secondary resonant circuit are arranged in the mouse pad body. The first mouse pad secondary resonant circuit provides a first wireless power to the mouse device. The second mouse pad secondary resonant circuit provides a second wireless power to the keyboard device according to the relay wireless power.
MOUSE PAD DEVICE
A mouse pad device is provided. The mouse pad device includes a mouse pad main body, a control module, a first electrical connection circuit and a second electrical connection circuit. The control module is disposed on a first area of a first side of the mouse pad main body. The first electrical connection circuit is electrically connected to the second electrical connection circuit on a second side of the mouse pad main body. The first side of the mouse pad main body and the second side of the mouse pad main body are opposite sides. The first electrical connection circuit and the second electrical connection circuit are each laid along a periphery of a third area of the second side of the mouse pad main body.
INPUT DETECTION SYSTEM
An input detection system includes a detection device including a plurality of detection electrodes arrayed in a detection region, and an input support device including a first electrode, a second electrode provided so as to be movable on a concentric circle about a rotating axis overlapping with the first electrode, and a coupling portion that electrically couples the first electrode and the second electrode. A position of the rotating axis of the input support device is fixed to the detection region of the detection device, and a reference potential is supplied to the detection electrode corresponding to the first electrode and a drive signal is supplied to the detection electrode corresponding to the second electrode.
Variable actuators of an accessory and methods thereof
A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, a processor that performs operations including receiving an actuation profile comprising one or more actuation thresholds responsive to a detection of a triggering event during a gaming session of a video game, configuring the sensor according to the one or more actuation thresholds, receiving, from the sensor, a signal indicating a depression range of the button, comparing the depression range to the one or more actuation thresholds of the actuation profile, and generating an actuation state when the depression range exceeds an actuation threshold of the one or more actuation thresholds. Additional embodiments are disclosed.
