DETECTION DEVICE
A detection device includes a substrate, a plurality of photodiodes that are provided on the substrate, and include organic semiconductors, a plurality of transistors that are provided correspondingly to the respective photodiodes, and each include a semiconductor layer, a gate electrode, and a source electrode, a plurality of lower electrodes that are provided between the transistors and the photodiodes in a direction orthogonal to the substrate, and are provided correspondingly to the respective photodiodes, an upper electrode provided across the photodiodes, a first auxiliary capacitor electrode provided between the substrate and each of the photodiodes in the direction orthogonal to the substrate, and a second auxiliary capacitor electrode that is provided in the same layer as that of the semiconductor layer or the source electrode, and faces the first auxiliary capacitor electrode with an insulating film interposed between the first auxiliary capacitor electrode and the second auxiliary capacitor electrode.

Wearable heads up displays
An optical display, including a first waveguide having a first set of surfaces, an input grating, a fold grating, and an output grating; an image input image node assembly; and a prismatic relay optics is provided. The prismatic relay optics may be configured to be optomechanically connected to the waveguide and the input image node assembly. The optical display is may also be configured to operate alone or as integrated with a headpiece to be used as a HUD. The HUD may have a first and a second configuration wherein the waveguide is decoupled or coupled.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING PROXIMITY SENSOR HAVING A PLURALITY OF LIGHT RECEIVING ELEMENTS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
An electronic device may include: a display having at least one hole disposed in at least a part thereof such that light from the outside can be transmitted therethrough; a light-emitting element disposed under the display and configured to output a first infrared ray to the outside; a first light-receiving element disposed under the display at a position corresponding to the at least one hole, and configured to receive a second infrared ray transmitted from the outside; a second light-receiving element disposed under the display at a position where light from the outside is shielded; and at least one processor configured to, based on that a first sensing value according to the second infrared ray, output from the first light-receiving element, satisfies a first specified condition, while the first infrared ray is output: based on that a second sensing value output from the second light-receiving element does not satisfy a second specified condition, identify that a proximate object exists, and based on that the second sensing value satisfies the second specified condition, identify that the proximate object does not exist.
Functional panel, display device, input/output device, and data processing device
A novel functional panel that is highly convenient, useful, or reliable is provided. The functional panel includes a pixel including a microlens array and a light-emitting device. The light-emitting device emits first light. The microlens array collects the first light. The microlens array includes a plurality of microlenses. The microlenses have a cross section having a shape with which they can be arranged with a filling factor higher than that of a circle on a plane parallel to the light-emitting device. The microlenses have a curved surface on a plane orthogonal to the plane parallel to the light-emitting device. The convex side of the curved surface faces the light-emitting device.
Private control interfaces for extended reality
Systems, methods, and non-transitory media are provided for generating private control interfaces for extended reality (XR) experiences. An example method can include determining a pose of an XR device within a mapped scene of a physical environment associated with the XR device; detecting a private region in the physical environment and a location of the private region relative to the pose of the XR device, the private region including an area estimated to be within a field of view (FOV) of a user of the XR device and out of a FOV of a person in the physical environment, a recording device in the physical environment, and/or an object in the physical environment; based on the pose of the XR device and the location of the private region, mapping a virtual private control interface to the private region; and rendering the virtual private control interface within the private region.
Haptic device with indirect haptic feedback
A device including a body configured to be grasped by a user's hand and a touch surface oriented on a first surface of the body, wherein the touch surface is configured to be engaged by an appendage of the user's hand when the body is grasped by the user's hand. The device also includes a friction modulator associated with the touch surface, wherein the friction modulator is configured to modulate a coefficient of friction between the user's appendage and the touch surface to provide haptic feedback.

A display device includes a first base layer, a circuit layer disposed on the first base layer and including a plurality of switching elements, a pixel layer disposed on the circuit layer and including a light emitting element, wherein the light emitting element is configured to receive a current from at least one of the plurality of switching elements to emit a first light, and a sensor layer disposed below the first base layer and including a sensor, wherein the sensor is configured to receive a second light generated when the first light is reflected by an external object.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device includes a base layer and a display element layer including a pixel definition layer having an opening defined therethrough, a light emitting element, and a light receiving element. Each of the light emitting element and the light receiving element includes a first electrode, a hole transport region disposed on the first electrode, an electron transport region disposed on the hole transport region, and a second electrode disposed on the electron transport region. The light emitting element includes a light emitting layer disposed between the hole transport region and the electron transport region. The light receiving element includes a light receiving layer disposed between the hole transport region and the electron transport region and an electron extraction layer, including an n-dopant material, disposed between the light receiving layer and the electron transport region. The light receiving element converts a light incident thereto into an electrical signal.

A display panel, a touch display device, and a method for manufacturing a touch display device are provided in the present disclosure. The display panel includes a display area and a non-display area adjacent to the display area. The display panel includes a first substrate and a second substrate disposed opposite to each other; a first narrow border sealant located in the non-display area, and a liquid crystal layer located in the display area disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate; and a first reflective layer disposed on at least one side of the first narrow border sealant.
