Stylus pen
An exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides a stylus pen including: a body; a conductive tip configured to be exposed from an inside of the body to an outside thereof; and a resonance circuit connected to the conductive tip to resonate an electrical signal transferred from the conductive tip. An inductor unit of the resonance circuit includes a ferrite core and a coil wound in multiple layers over at least a portion of the ferrite core. The ferrite core includes nickel, and the coil can be formed by a litz wire with adjacent winding layers that are wound to be inclined in a zigzag form.
Information handling system stylus with power management through acceleration and sound context
An information handling system stylus includes components to support active tip writing inputs at a touchscreen display with the active tip powered by a rechargeable battery. An accelerometer and microphone included in the housing cooperate to manage battery life with instructions executed on a processing resource included in the accelerometer and/or microphone. The instructions apply different wake behaviors to manage stylus power consumption based upon whether the stylus couples to and information handling system, such as monitoring stylus motion with different wake intervals and monitoring for predetermined acceleration profiles, such as walking, falling and rolling.
TOUCH APPARATUS AND TOUCH DETECTION METHOD THEREOF
An exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides a touch apparatus including: a touch panel configured to include a plurality of touch electrodes; a touch driver configured to apply a first driving signal to a first touch electrode of the touch electrodes during a first period, and a second driving signal to the touch electrodes during a second period subsequent to the first period; and a touch controller configured to determine a detection signal as a valid touch signal based on whether a signal strength of the detection signal received in response to the first driving signal exceeds a first threshold during the first period, wherein the detection signal include at least one of a first detection signal generated by a first touch object and a second detection signal generated by a second touch object, and the first detection signal is determined as a valid touch signal, while the first threshold is set to filter the second detection signal.
PERIPHERAL DEVICE WITH ACOUSTIC RESONATOR
Locating a lost stylus, or other peripheral input device can be made possible by acoustic resonators integrated within housing structures of the stylus. Acoustic resonators can be formed at an end of the stylus opposite its tip, and can include portions of the stylus outer housing that are thinned down to an engineered thickness that has a particular resonant behavior or frequency. In some examples, acoustic resonators can be formed at a cap portion of the stylus, and can include a resonant diaphragm attached to at least a portion of a cap boundary. Cap coverings for the cap portion can optionally have openings to allow ventilation for changes in air pressure generated beneath the covering. In some examples, an electronic device can communicate a location request to the stylus and can cause the stylus to generate an acoustic signal for a specified target detector using the acoustic resonators.
Touch screen device
Disclosed is a touch screen device for transmitting button manipulation information based on a touch pen without using a separate wireless communication module. The touch screen device includes a touch screen including a plurality of touch electrodes, a touch driving circuit applying a touch electrode driving signal to the plurality of touch electrodes, and a touch pen receiving the touch electrode driving signal applied to the plurality of touch electrodes and transmitting a pen output signal to the touch screen in response to the received touch electrode driving signal. The touch pen includes at least one button, and when a user manipulates the at least one button, the touch pen adjusts the pen output signal.

Based on a change in a display driving signal of the display, the display is configured to provide, to the processor, a first synchronization signal corresponding to the changed display driving signal. Based on the first synchronization signal, a second synchronization signal different from the first synchronization signal is provided to at least one of the first sensor circuit or the second sensor circuit.
ELECTRONIC PEN AND INTERFACE DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
An electronic pen includes a signal generator, a power supply, and a resonance circuit. The signal generator is configured to generate a signal. The power supply is configured to supply power to the signal generator. The resonance circuit is configured to generate a current based on the signal and emit a magnetic field based on the current.
STYLUS HAPTIC COMPONENT
Examples are disclosed relating to providing haptic feedback in a stylus while the stylus crosses a gap between two displays. In one example, a method comprises detecting one or more haptic triggering criteria, and at least on condition of detecting the one or more haptic triggering criteria, actuating the haptic feedback component to produce haptic output. A width of the gap between the displays is determined, and a crossing time for a tip of the stylus to cross the gap is calculated using the width of the gap, a stylus velocity, and a stylus direction. At a first time after actuating the haptic feedback component, the method determines that the one or more haptic triggering criteria are not detected. At least on condition of determining that the one or more haptic triggering criteria are not detected, the method continues to actuate the haptic feedback component for the crossing time.
