A job management server, which is connected to a Web application server and a job processing apparatus via a network, comprises: a registration unit which registers, when a job received from the Web application server is added with information indicating that a request source of the job is the job processing apparatus, the job in a first job queue, and to register, when the job is not added with the information, the job in a second job queue having a lower priority than the first job queue; and a transmission unit which transmits the job registered in the first job queue in response to a request from the job processing apparatus while a user utilizes a Web application via the job processing apparatus.

A method prepares a print job for a printing operation and includes providing at least one first data set associated with the print job and multiple reference data sets associated with reference jobs. The method is characterized in that it contains the steps of providing multiple mutually complementary data sets for each one of a plurality of reference jobs, automatically filtering the reference data sets of the plurality of reference jobs to provide at least one second data set, and using the second data set in the printing operation as a replacement of or an addition to the at least one first data set. The method provides a way of manufacturing high-quality printed products while saving time, e.g. makeready time for the printing operation, and costs, e.g. caused by unusable prints or low-quality prints.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium stores a set of program instructions installed on and executed by a computer provided in a terminal device. The set of program instructions includes receiving a print start operation to start printing images represented by first and second sets of print data. The first set of print data represents a first print image correlated with a first print medium type. The second set of print data represents a second print image correlated with a second print medium type. The set of program instructions include transmitting the first set of print data, and transmitting the second set of print data to the printer. The second print image is to be printed after the first print image is printed. The transmitting the second set of print data is performed before the printer complete printing the first print image.

An estimated temperature adjustment time, the number of times of temperature adjustments, and so on for printing jobs in a current print sequence are displayed together with an estimated print time, and the print sequence can be changed so as to decrease the number of times of temperature adjustments.

Provided is an image forming system including a determination processing portion and a sharing control portion. The determination processing portion determines share rates of an image forming job for each of a plurality of image forming apparatuses based on a startable timing at which a new job can be started by each of the plurality of image forming apparatuses. The sharing control portion causes the plurality of image forming apparatuses to share the image forming job based on the share rates of the image forming job determined in the determination processing portion.

A label printer includes a printer, a storage unit, a display, and a processor configured to generate print information for issuing a label for an item by the printer, store in the storage unit a first count of labels that have been issued with the print information in association with first label identifying information, generate a first screen to be displayed on the display and through which a user operation to change the print information can be input, and after the print information is changed through the first screen, issue a label for the item with the changed print information, store in the storage unit a second count of labels that have been issued with the changed print information in association with second label identifying information, and reduce the first count of labels stored in the storage unit by the second count of labels.

An information processing apparatus that manages print processes of plural printing apparatuses, the information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to acquire execution information indicating an execution status of each printing apparatus from the plural printing apparatuses, in a case in which a predetermined condition regarding processing of converting print data into a raster image is satisfied in one printing apparatus, extract another printing apparatus capable of executing the processing of converting the print data into the raster image from among other printing apparatuses other than the one printing apparatus by using the execution information, cause the other printing apparatus, that is extracted, to execute the processing of converting the print data of a print job scheduled to be printed in the one printing apparatus into the raster image, and perform control to transmit the raster image created by the other printing apparatus to the one printing apparatus.

An image forming apparatus includes a measurer that measures biometric information of a user, an analyzer that analyzes the measured biometric information, a job accepter that accepts jobs, a job executer that executes the jobs accepted by the job accepter, a hardware processor configured to estimate a job execution time period during which the job executor executes each of at least one of a plurality of jobs accepted by the job acceptor, to estimate a finish time point at which the analyzer finishes the analysis, and, in response to start of measurement of the biometric information by the measurer, to change execution order of a relating job, which relates to the user who is a subject of the measurement by the measurer, among the plurality of jobs such that a period during which the relating job is executed and the finish time point have a predetermined relationship.

A system which enables an image forming apparatus to give priority to executing a job sent from a mobile information terminal. The mobile information terminal sets an operating mode of the image forming apparatus. When a near-field wireless communication is started by the mobile information terminal coming close to the image forming apparatus, information on the set operating mode is sent to the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus provides operating mode shifting control based on the information on the operating mode sent from the mobile information terminal by the near-field wireless communication.

Certain examples described herein provide a representation of a three-dimensional object for production of said object. These examples use a material volume coverage representation that is generated from received object data, such as a vector object representation. The material volume coverage representation includes material volume coverage vectors for at least volumes forming part of a raster representation of the three-dimensional object. The raster representation is generated from the vector representation. Each material volume coverage vector represents a probabilistic distribution of materials available to the apparatus for production of the three-dimensional object and combinations of said materials.
