PRINTING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
A printing system includes: a receiving unit that receives a first instruction given in response to speech input by a user and a second instruction given in response to input other than the speech input by the user, the first instruction and the second instruction each serving as an image forming instruction to form a processed image on a recording medium; a restriction unit that performs restriction of image forming in which the image is to be formed on the recording medium, the restriction being performed in response to the receiving unit receiving the first instruction; and a storage unit that stores the image subjected to the restriction of the image forming on the recording medium, the restriction being performed by the restriction unit.
Method, apparatus, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for altering a digital image for a printing job
A method, apparatus, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for altering a digital image for a printing job, the method comprising receiving a requested printing job including the digital image, performing a segmentation on the digital image, extracting values of properties for a segment of the segmented digital image, determining, based on the extracted values of the properties for the segment, whether the segment of the digital image should be altered, and altering the segment of the digital image when it is determined the segment of the digital image should be altered, a resulting altered digital image being transmitted to a printer for printing.
Adjusting a velocity of development units
Examples described herein relate to a system consistent with the disclosure. For instance, the system may comprise a printing device including hardware to adjust a velocity of a development unit within the printing device, a memory resource, and a controller in communication with the memory resource to determine an average usage condition of the printing device, wherein the average usage condition is based on at least one of a print coverage and a quantity of pages printed by the printing device, and adjust a velocity of the development unit based on the average usage condition.
RIP SIMULATION DEVICE AND RECORDING MEDIUM HAVING RIP SIMULATION PROGRAM RECORDED THEREON
A RIP simulation device that enables a rapid grasp of a part having a problem in RIP speed and a specific detail of the problem is achieved. While the RIP prediction screen is displayed on a display unit, the result display control unit causes the display unit to display a sheet number corresponding to a position that is on a line graph representing a predicted RIP time for each sheet and is being designated by an input operation unit. When a sheet number displayed on the display unit is selected by the input operation unit, the result display control unit causes the display unit to display an analysis result screen indicating an analysis result related to the page corresponding to the sheet number on the basis of the correspondence relationship between sheets and pages when print output is actually executed.
Image forming apparatus configured to communicate with network and capable of managing number of print pages
An image forming apparatus includes a main body memory, and a controller. A second upper limit information stored in the main body memory indicates an upper limit of a printable page number that the image forming apparatus is allowed to print in a state where the image forming apparatus is in an off-line state. A printed page number information stored in the main body memory indicates a printed page number printed in the off-line state. The controller is configured to: increment the printed page number information by one in a case where the one sheet of paper is printed on one side printing; and increment the printed page number information by two in a case where the one sheet is printed on double-sided printing. The controller is configured to determine whether the printed page number information is greater than or equal to the second upper limit page number.
System and method for printing colored media when input color matches media color
A system and method are provided which enable a print media color to be used, as a replacement for a mixture of one or more colorants, in rendering portions of a print job. One or more multidimensional look-up tables are provided. Each table provides for an identified input color, in a device-independent space, to be equated to no colorant, when printed on the respective print media. The identified input color is one of a set of input colors, which, when printed and measured, has an output color that is closest to a measured color of the print media.
Image forming apparatus, method, and program
An image forming apparatus enables utilizing an output of proof printing as an output of final printing, wherein the image forming apparatus includes an image former forming an image on a sheet, an image reader reading an image formed on the sheet, and a controller, wherein the controller acquires a determination result of whether or not a sheet, on which an image read by the image reader is formed before the final printing by the image former in order to create a reference image to be used for inspecting an output matter of a printing job, can be used for an output matter of the final printing and controls the number of sheets or copies on which the images are to be formed using the image former at the final printing.
NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND PRINTING METHOD
A supporting program is executable by a controller of an information processing apparatus and corresponds to a printer connected to the information processing apparatus. The supporting program causes the information processing apparatus to perform processing intermediate image data in accordance with a print parameter received in a print parameter editing process, displaying an image indicated by the processed inter mediate image data on a print preview screen. The information processing apparatus does not restrict printing when print continuation is instructed, while restricting the printing when re-edit or print cancel is instructed.
Information processing apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium
An information processing apparatus includes a selector and a sender. The selector receives plural print jobs and selects, from among templates applicable to a printer, a template to which each of the plural print jobs is allocated in accordance with a paper size specified in a corresponding print job and a size of continuous-form paper set in the printer. The sender allocates the plural print jobs to the corresponding templates selected by the selector, integrates some of the print jobs together, and then sends an integrated print job to the printer.
Methods and printing system for intelligent offline ink estimation
A printing system includes an offline estimation device that provides estimates for ink or toner use for a print job at a target printing device. The offline estimation device retrieves digital front end (DFE) version information, configuration setting information, and color printing resources from the target printing device. Using the DFE version information, the offline estimation device selects a raster image processor (RIP) from a plurality of RIPs of software versions available within the printing system. The offline estimation device configures the RIP with configuration settings of the configuration setting information. The color printing resources also are pushed to the RIP. The offline estimation device provides the ink or toner use estimate using the configured RIP.
