The other medium is for presenting information concerning the setup operation.

A control method for an information processing apparatus that communicates with the information processing apparatus includes acquiring information on a first printing apparatus, displaying a first selection screen including a first display item regarding the first print apparatus on a display unit based on the acquired information on the first printing apparatus, and receiving, on the first selection screen, an instruction for registering the first printing apparatus onto the print control software. Based on the reception of the instruction for registering the first printing apparatus on the print control software, the first printing apparatus is registered onto the print control software and on OS-standard print software.

In a case where a registration state of a printing apparatus in operating system (OS) standard print software and a registration state of the printing apparatus in print conversion software do not match each other, an information processing apparatus performs a process for matching between a registration state of a print queue of the printing apparatus in the OS standard print software and the registration state of the printing apparatus in the print conversion software.

An MFD is disclosed. For example, the MFD includes a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a plurality of instructions. A control method causes a Graphical User Interface (GUI) application to perform activating in response to a first print request from a drawing application, acquiring intermediate data based on drawing data generated by the drawing application, and outputting intermediate data. According to one aspect of the present disclosure, an information processing apparatus configured to: transmit a posting; display the transmitted posting; display information of data linked to other posting as responses to the transmitted posting; receive a user operation to specify a print function through an object displayed in association with the transmitted posting; display information of the data linked to the other posting associated with the posting as selectable data to be printed; and transmit a print instruction based on information of the displayed data that is selected through a user operation.

Provided is a method of controlling an information processing apparatus configured to execute an extension application associated with printing data generation software operatable in the information processing apparatus to extend a function, the method including: obtaining input data including printing setting; displaying a screen related to a specific function on a display unit in a case where it is determined based on the printing setting that the specific function is executed; editing the input data, such that the specific function is executed, to convert the input data into printing data; and transmitting the printing data to a printing apparatus after the screen is displayed on the display unit in the displaying.
