Printing device reconfiguration according to settings previously saved by server device
A server device receives a request over a network for settings for a printing device having an identifier. The server device determines whether the settings for the printing device were previously received from the printing device and responsively saved by the server device, based on the identifier of the printing device. In response to determining that the settings for the printing device were previously received from the printing device and responsively saved by the server device, the server device transmits the settings over the network to reconfigure the printing device according to the settings.
METHODS AND PRINTING SYSTEM FOR PEER-TO-PEER OUTPUT MANAGEMENT
A peer-to-peer network of printing devices is configured to share printing device information, such as job queue status, configuration information, and resource information for automated load balancing, capability matching, failover, and print splitting operations. A digital front end (DFE) of a printing device establishes connections with the DFEs of other printing devices to manage output within the peer-to-peer network in an automated manner. When a print job is received at a DFE for a printing device, it is evaluated to determine how to best manage the output for the print job.

Image forming method with image-forming-data transmission path and non-transitory computer storage medium
An image forming method, a terminal, and a non-transitory computer storage medium are provided in the present disclosure. The image forming method is applied to a system including a first client, a second client, a server, and a target image forming device. The method includes registering the target image forming device to the server by the second client, and inputting image forming description information of the target image forming device to the server by the second client, where the image forming description information includes an image forming manner corresponding to an image-forming-data transmission path between the first client and the target image forming device.
ADVERSARIAL IMAGE GENERATOR
Adversarial patches can be inserted into sample pictures by an adversarial image generator to realistically depict adversarial images. The adversarial image generator can be utilized to train an adversarial patch generator by inserting generated patches into sample pictures, and submitting the resulting adversarial images to object detection models. This way, the adversarial patch generator can be trained to generate patches capable of defeating object detection models.
Data sharing method, graphical user interface, electronic device, and system
This application relates to the field of mobile communications, and in particular, to a technical solution of sharing data with a nearby device by using a wireless communications technology. In a method for printing a photo, a mobile phone first selects a to-be-printed photo, then discovers a nearby device by using the foregoing related wireless communications technology, and displays the discovered device such as a printer or a projector on the mobile phone; and then a user performs a tap operation on the discovered printer, so that one-tap printing can be implemented. In this way, printing efficiency of an electronic device is improved, and user experience is also improved.
Information processing apparatus, method therewith and non-transitory computer readable medium storing program
An information processing apparatus includes a section that detects posts of an output instruction and an output target from a user in a chat room, a registration section that registers the output target as an output target corresponding to the user or the chat room, in a case where identification information of an output device is not registered for the user or the chat room when the post of the output target is detected, and a control section that performs control of inputting a post of requesting registration of the output device from the user into the chat room in a case where the identification information of the output device is not registered for the user or the chat room when the post of the output instruction is detected.
Systems and methods for managing settings of a plurality of image processing devices
A processing device includes an interface, a memory, and a processor. The interface facilitates communication with a server and other processing devices. The memory stores first model information indicating a first model of the processing device. The processor receives setting information from the server where the setting information includes a first ID for identifying a first setting content, applies the first setting content, transmits first ID information including the first model information and the first ID to the other processing devices, receives second ID information from the other processing devices, acquires second model information from the second ID information, determines whether a second setting content of a second ID included in the second ID information is already applied to the processing device in response to the second model information matching the first model information, and transmits a notification to the server indicating that the second setting content is not applied.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM STORING INFORMATION PROCESSING PROGRAM
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to in a case of executing printing with print settings using a predetermined function, receive, from an image forming apparatus within a predetermined first distance, information on a function executable by an image forming apparatus different from the image forming apparatus within the first distance, the information on the function being stored in the image forming apparatus within the first distance, and store the information on the function, and notify of an image forming apparatus capable of printing with the print settings, based on the information on the function.
LOCATION IDENTIFICATION FOR IMAGING DEVICES
Techniques for identifying location of an imaging device within a networked environment are described. According to an example of the present subject matter, jobs received by the imaging device from client devices are analysed to ascertain a level of utilization of the imaging device by each of the client devices. A location of each of the client devices is also determined. From amongst the locations of the client devices, a location for the imaging device is identified based on the level of utilization of the imaging device by the respective client devices.
