A data state manager may include a production intent module to define a production intent, a capability module to identify a number of capabilities of a plurality of media printing devices to which the data state manager is coupled, and a data stream module to, through a plurality of communication links to the media printing devices, stream a plurality of data streams to the plurality of media printing devices in a synchronized manner based on a number of characteristics of the streamed data and the identified capabilities of the media printing devices, with the data streams defining the production intent.

Provided is an image forming system for pull printing that does not require a server and does not require input of keys or the like at the time of output. A division part divides pull print document data into a plurality of blocks including a critical block that includes information required for printing and transfer blocks that include other information. A storing and transmitting part transmits the transfer blocks of the blocks to at least two of preserving apparatuses. A critical block acquisition part acquires the critical block. A transfer block acquisition part acquires each of the transfer blocks of the document data corresponding to the critical block from any of the preserving apparatuses. A document reproduction part collectively reproduces the critical block and each of the transfer blocks into the document data.

In a print job transmitting apparatus, when the print job transmitting apparatus is communicably connected with a server configured to spool a print job, a transmission destination confirming portion prioritizes the server over an image forming apparatus and confirms the server as a transmission destination of the print job. When the print job transmitting apparatus is not communicably connected with the server and is communicably connected with the image forming apparatus, the transmission destination confirming portion confirms the image forming apparatus as the transmission destination, and even in a case where the print job transmitting apparatus is communicably connected with the server, when a size of the print job is greater than or equal to a specific size, the transmission destination confirming portion confirms the image forming apparatus as the transmission destination.

A terminal device includes: a printer driver execution unit that generates divided job execution data that causes a printer to perform printing; a terminal storage unit that stores divided job execution data generated by the printer driver execution unit; a determination unit that determines whether or not a predetermined aggregation condition is met; an aggregation unit that, when the determination unit determines that the predetermined aggregation condition is met, generates aggregated divided job execution data in which a plurality of divided job execution data stored in the terminal storage unit are aggregated; and a terminal communication unit that transmits the aggregated divided job execution data generated by the aggregation unit to the printer.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing an application program readable by a computer of an information processing device, the application program, when executed by the computer, causes the information processing device to perform: displaying a first image object and a second image object on a display device of the information processing device; and based on receiving a print instruction via an input device of the information processing device, controlling a first printer to perform printing of a first image based on the first image object and a second printer to perform printing of a second image based on the second image object.

In a first print system controlling a first print apparatus and a second print apparatus by a client PC, the client PC generates, when obtaining a distributed printing request of a print job being printed by the first print apparatus from the second print apparatus based on a user operation performed on the second print apparatus, a first distributed printing job for causing the first print apparatus to print a first portion of an unprinted portion of a print job and a second distributed printing job for causing the second print apparatus to print a second portion of the unprinted portion.

An image forming apparatus includes a storage unit and a processor. The storage unit stores job parameters shared by a group of image forming apparatuses. The processor determines a job parameter among one of the shared job parameters that cannot be executed by the image forming apparatus and adjusts a set value of the job parameter so that the job parameter can be executed by the image forming apparatus.

An information processing apparatus includes a print management unit configured to allocate a plurality of print data sets to a plurality of image forming apparatuses, respectively, the plurality of print data sets being obtained by dividing one print data set; a separator data generation unit configured to generate, for each of the plurality of image forming apparatuses, print data for a separator, the print data for the separator including management information that includes information regarding a particular print data set among the plurality of print data sets and information regarding a particular image forming apparatus among the plurality of image forming apparatuses to which the particular print data set is allocated; and an output unit configured to output, for each of the plurality of image forming apparatuses, the particular print data set and the print data for the separator to the particular image forming apparatus.

A system and method provide redirection of print jobs from a first printer to a second printer. Aspects of the embodiments may automatically detect when a user is approaching a selected printer and if the print job is not finished, send the remainder of the print job to a second printer on the way to the user's destination. In some embodiments, the user may deviate from an intended route and the system may detect that another printer is more readily available to the user along the deviated route and may redirect the print job to the other printer. The user may pick up portions of the print job at one printer and without having to stop may continue on his or her route picking up other portions of the print job at other printers along the way.

Information that is used for identifying a print data file having been obtained by an image processing apparatus is notified to a print server in response to an error occurring in processing for obtaining the print data files from a first storage server, and a print data file stored by a storage unit is obtained from a second storage server based on an index file including acquisition source information about a not-yet-obtained print data file, and print processing is executed.
