PARALLEL PROCESSING OF MONOCHROMATIC PRINT JOBS USING DATA-PROCESSING COLOR CHANNELS OF COLOR PRINTING DEVICE THAT CORRESPOND TO DIFFERENT COLOR COLORANTS
A color printing device can include a print engine, a circuit, and a processor. The print engine prints onto physical media using different color colorants. The circuit has data-processing color channels corresponding to the different color colorants. The processor receives monochromatic print jobs and transmits the received monochromatic print jobs to unused color channels of the color channels for processing in parallel. The processor can transmit the processed monochromatic print jobs to the print engine for printing.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRINTING RELATIONAL GRAPH
Provided by the present disclosure are a method and an apparatus for printing a relational graph. The method for printing a relational graph includes: determining whether an overall view of a to-be-printed relational graph exceeds a set print size; in response to the overall view of a to-be-printed relational graph exceeding the set print size, clustering nodes in the to-be-printed relational graph according to the print size and attribute information of the nodes to form a clustered overall view of the relational graph and subviews of the relational graph; and printing the clustered overall view of the relational graph after the clustering and subviews formed based on the clustered nodes. At least one embodiment of the present disclosure can automatically split a relational graph into pages for printing.
Dynamic splitting of portable document format print jobs
Systems and methods are provided for dynamically splitting print jobs to reduce the time taken to start printing those jobs, allowing those jobs to be printed on a wider range of printers more efficiently. One embodiment includes a print server with an interface that is able to receive a Portable Document Format (PDF) print job. The print server also includes a job controller that divides the PDF print job into segments. Dividing the PDF print job includes determining a segment size comprising a number of the logical pages to include in each segment, based on the memory footprint for the logical pages. Dividing the PDF print job also includes generating multiple segments, populating each of the segments with logical pages from the PDF print job based on the segment size, and populating each of the segments with a page tree. The job controller transmits the segments to a printer.
SYSTEM FOR PRINTING A DOCUMENT USING A PDF CONVERTER BASED ON A COMPLEX PAGE
A printing device receives a document to print directly from a device. The document is converted into a portable document format (PDF) file. The PDF converter separates the document into different groups that are processed separately to generate multiple PDF files for the document. The PDF files include a first page file and subsequent files for one or more pages separated according to criteria, such as page complexity or size. The separate PDF file is sent to the PDF interpreter to be printed without waiting for the subsequent data within the document.
SYSTEM FOR PRINTING A DOCUMENT USING A PRINTER DRIVER BASED ON PAGE SIZE VALUE
A printing device receives a document to print directly from a computing device. The document is converted into a portable document format (PDF) file. The PDF converter separates the document into different groups that are processed separate to generate multiple PDF files for the document. The PDF files include a first page file and subsequent files for groups of pages separated according to criteria, such as page number or size. The separate PDF file is sent to the PDF interpreter to be printed without waiting for the subsequent data within the document.
PRINTER AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
A printer includes a forming device configured to form images with non-decolorable printing material and decolorable printing material. The printer further includes an interface configured to acquire a document image and a memory configured to store an auxiliary image relating to post-processing. The printer additionally includes a controller configured to print the document image with the non-decolorable printing material on a medium by using the forming device, and print the auxiliary image with the decolorable printing material on the medium by using the forming device.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS HAVING COPY FUNCTION FOR EXECUTING COPY JOB
Provided is an image forming apparatus capable of executing a copy job without causing a memory shortage by dividing and sequentially executing the copy job process. The image forming apparatus includes a free area determining unit and a division process executing unit. The free area determining unit compares capacities of work areas necessary for executing a scanning job and a printing job with free area in memory (RAM), respectively. The division process executing unit, in a case where the free area determining unit determines that the free area in memory is equal to or greater than the capacity of the work area necessary for executing the scanning job, but is less than the capacity of the work area necessary for executing the printing job, cancels parallel processing, and after executing the scanning process, saves in a non-volatile memory, and then after restarting, executes the printing process.
PRINTING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus comprising: an operation device; a memory storing instructions; and a processor which is capable of executing the instructions causing the printing apparatus to: receive a print job from an external device; store the received print job; receive a change instruction for a print setting for the stored print job from a user by the operation device; execute the stored print job by using the print setting that has been changed in accordance with the received change instruction; manage change history information indicating a content of the change of the print setting; and present a recommended setting that is a print setting determined based on the managed change history information by the operation device upon receipt of the change instruction for the print setting for the stored print job from the user by the operation device.
Integrated 3D printing system
An integrated 3D printing system (1) includes a server (6) and multiple 3D printers (4) respectively implementing different printing types. The server (6) opens up a 3D object (50) which is consisted of multiple separable sub-objects (51-57) through a graphic user interface (GUI, 61). The GUI (61) obtains a designated characteristic of each sub-object (51-57) for performing a characteristic-classification to the multiple sub-objects (51-57). The server (6) provides a plurality of configuration tools (31-33) through a processor (62). Each of the plurality of configuration tools (31-33) performs a slicing process on the sub-object (51-57) with the corresponding characteristic for generating slicing data, and transmits the slicing data with the corresponding characteristic to one of the multiple 3D printers (4) with a corresponding printing type for being printed.
PRINT JOB TRANSMITTING APPARATUS, PRINT SYSTEM
In a print job transmitting apparatus, when the print job transmitting apparatus is communicably connected with a server configured to spool a print job, a transmission destination confirming portion prioritizes the server over an image forming apparatus and confirms the server as a transmission destination of the print job. When the print job transmitting apparatus is not communicably connected with the server and is communicably connected with the image forming apparatus, the transmission destination confirming portion confirms the image forming apparatus as the transmission destination, and even in a case where the print job transmitting apparatus is communicably connected with the server, when a size of the print job is greater than or equal to a specific size, the transmission destination confirming portion confirms the image forming apparatus as the transmission destination.
