Methods, apparatus and systems for printing an image using an array of nozzles are described. In one example aspect, a printer system includes an array of nozzles and a control device coupled to the array of nozzles. The control device is configured to determine a step size for printing a current section of an image based on a set of masks. The set of masks includes one or more masks used for printing previous sections of the image. The control device is also configured to adjust the set of masks based on a printing mode to be used for the current section of the image. The array of nozzles is configured to print the current section of the image using a combination of the adjusted set of masks.

An information processing apparatus including a controller configured to receive selection of a medium feeder corresponding to a page number from among a plurality of medium feeders that feed a medium; and to regard a page range of the page numbers that have been received as a cycle pattern and to repeatedly apply the cycle pattern to page numbers beyond the page range, to set, as the medium feeders corresponding the page numbers beyond the page range, the medium feeders corresponding to the page numbers in the cycle pattern.

Embodiments described herein modify AFP translations of non-AFP print jobs in order to ensure that exceptions in the non-AFP print jobs are handled correctly. One embodiment comprises a controller that receives a job ticket for a non-AFP print job, where the job ticket defines at least one page exception for the non-AFP print job. The controller receives an AFP translation of the non-AFP print job, where the AFP translation does not implement the at least one page exception defined in the job ticket for the non-AFP print job. The controller modifies the AFP translation to include one or more structured fields based on the at least one page exception, and provides the modified AFP translation to a print server to generate a printed output that represents the non-AFP print job as specified by the job ticket.

A tag writing device includes a conveying unit, an antenna, an acquiring unit, a determining unit, a selecting unit, and a deciding unit. The acquiring unit acquires reception intensities about a plurality of wireless tags. The determining unit determines an intermediate position between a start position and an end position as a position where a sum of reception intensities acquired while a mount is conveyed from the start position to the intermediate position and a sum of reception intensities acquired while the mount is conveyed from the intermediate position to the end position are closest. The selecting unit selects, as a target tag, the wireless tag, the intermediate position of which is determined as a position within a prediction range. The deciding unit decides a relative positional relation between the wireless tag and the antenna at a time when writing is performed.

Provided are a non-transitory computer-readable medium, a print image control device, and a control method of the print image control device capable of reducing time required for an operation to adjust a position of a print image, and of improving productivity. A CPU performs part specification command input processing in which a command is input to specify a part of a photographic image captured by a camera, characteristic identification processing that identifies a characteristic of fabric on the basis of the command input by the part specification command input processing, generated graphic generation processing that generates a generated graphic relating to the characteristic identified by the characteristic identification processing, and display control processing that controls a display such that the generated graphic generated by the generated graphic generation processing is displayed along with the photographic image and a print image.

Methods relating generally to printing to a medium with a printer are disclosed. In one such method, a plurality of objects (“the objects”) for a tile is received. An object count for each object type of the objects is counted. A tile-reuse count is initialized. A tile object associated with the objects is generated. Tile area data for the tile, tiling area data for a tiling area, and bounding region data for a bounding region are received. A check is performed for the tile area data having at least one dimension exceeding a corresponding bounding region dimension of the bounding region data. It is determined that the tiling area data does have at least one dimension exceeding the bounding region dimension. Responsive to the determining the tiling area data does have at least one dimension exceeding the bounding region dimension, a template for the tile is generated for non-overlapping tiling.

A color conversion table generation device includes a color conversion table acquisition unit, an image data acquisition unit, a read image data acquisition unit, an acceptance unit, and a modification unit. The color conversion table acquisition unit acquires a color conversion table used in color conversion for image data to be printed which is imposed. The image data acquisition unit acquires the image data to be printed. The read image data acquisition unit acquires read image data of a print target corresponding to a partial area in the image data to be printed. The acceptance unit accepts specification of a target area in the image data to be printed which is to be used for modifying the color conversion table. The modification unit modifies the color conversion table based on the read image data and information corresponding to the specified target area.

Portable terminals 100-1 to 100-N of a plurality of users have roles divided into one portable terminal 100-1 functioning as a host and other portable terminals 100-2 to 100-N (one or more second portable terminals) functioning as a client, and communication needed for creation of a collage image can be performed between the portable terminal 100-1 and other portable terminals 100-2 to 100-N. Accordingly, even though a plurality of users participate in creation of a collage image, it is possible to allow the user of each portable terminal to perform operations for selection of an image for use in the creation of the collage image, edition of the selected image, and the like in parallel with operations of other users for selection, edition, and the like of images without waiting for the operations of other users, and to create the collage image in a comparatively short time.

An apparatus includes a storage unit and a control unit. The storage unit stores conflict information indicating that a setting for printing a predetermined number of pages on one surface of one sheet conflicts with a setting for punching a plurality of rows of holes in the one sheet. The control unit performs control to prohibit generation of a print command including the printing and punching settings based on the conflict information stored in the storage unit.

An information processing device includes: a split printing information setting unit setting split printing information, the split printing information including split position information about a split position in an original image when splitting the original image into a plurality of sub-images and printing the sub-images and overlap area information about an overlap area between the sub-images when pasting together the plurality of sub-images that are printed; and an instruction document preview generation unit generating an instruction document preview based on the split printing information, the instruction document preview being a print preview of a work execution instruction document for pasting together the plurality of sub-images that are printed. The instruction document preview generation unit generates the instruction document preview in such a way that the original image and a work execution image are displayed, the work execution image including a split position image showing the split position in the original image and an overlap area image showing the overlap area.
