In a case where predetermined information is acquired by a first program using a first method, control is performed such that processing that is based on the predetermined information is executed by a second program based on an activation of the second program. In a case where the predetermined information is acquired by the first program using a second method, control is performed such that the processing that is based on the predetermined information is not executed by the second program even if the second program is activated.

An embedded digital front end (DFE) of a printing device receives print jobs of documents from client devices. The print jobs are placed in a job queue within the DFE. Along with a received print job, the DFE also receives a graphic file corresponding to the print job. The graphic file is stored in a data storage on the DFE. The DFE provides the graphic file to a user interface connected to the DFE, to represent the print job. The user interface allows modifications be made to the job queue using the graphic files for the print jobs. Further, a client device connects to the user interface to modify the print order within the job queue.

In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a system is described. The system includes an outsourcing engine to select a contracting print device to which a print job is to be outsourced. A recipe generating engine of the system generates a recipe for a print job. The recipe includes 1) settings for the print job and 2) settings for the contracting print device that is to generate the print job. The system also includes an encoder to encrypt the recipe and an exception processor to respond to requests from the contracting print device to deviate from the recipe.

An information processing apparatus having a plurality of transmission queues includes a selection unit that selects a target transmission queue from among the plurality of transmission queues, and a change unit that changes port setting information of the selected target transmission queue to port setting information with which communication with a printing device corresponding to the target transmission queue is possible. The change unit changes port setting information of another transmission queue with which the same identification information as identification information of the target transmission queue is associated, to the port setting information with which communication with the printing device is possible.

Systems for providing efficient manufacturing of paper, sheet, and/or box products of varying size and structure, often with pre-applied print (“pre-print”), are provided herein. One or more controllers can be used to aggregate upcoming orders and information needed to complete the manufacturing process for the order. A controller enables a user to prepare control plans (e.g., reel maps, reel plans, etc.) for processing rolls of web product through the manufacturing process. Criteria filtering and/or various features enable generation of efficient and effective control plans for rolls of web product, including, in some cases, multiple orders. The control plan may include a set of instructions for operating one or more systems within the manufacturing process to form the desired finished paper-based product. In such a regard, efficient manufacturing of various paper-based products, including corrugated boxes, folded carton, labels, flexible paper, industrial bags, plates, cups, décor, and many others, can be achieved.

An image processing apparatus includes: a job acquirer that acquires a job; a function executor that executes a function requested for the acquired job; and a completion notification selector that selects a timing for transmitting, to an information processing apparatus, a process completion notification indicating normal termination of execution of the function after the function is executed. The timing for transmitting the process completion notification to the information processing apparatus includes a job execution completion time that is a time when the execution of the function normally terminates and a job acquisition completion time that is a time before the execution of the function starts. In a status where there is a function currently being executed and no new job is acquirable, the completion notification selector selects the job acquisition completion time as the timing for transmitting the process completion notification to the information processing apparatus.

An image processing apparatus includes a reading unit configured to read an original, a transmission unit configured to transmit image data to an external apparatus, a printing unit configured to print an image, a display unit configured to display the image, and a control unit configured to suspend a job executed by the printing unit in response to a selection of a key for suspending a currently executed job, display a list of jobs on the display unit, and cancel a job selected by a user from the displayed list of the jobs. The control unit displays a list of transmission jobs for the transmission unit to transmit the image data generated when the reading unit reads the original in response to the selection of the key during display of a main menu screen for accepting a selection of a function to be used.

An example of an apparatus includes a network interface to receive print data from a device, the print data associated with a first subscription service. The apparatus also includes a memory storage unit to store the print data including a database of subscription services, wherein the database of subscription services includes the first subscription service and a second subscription service. In addition, the apparatus includes a subscription manager to manage the database of subscription services. The subscription manager deducts print credit from a first subscription service account based on the print data. The apparatus includes a selection engine to select a printing device for the print data, wherein the printing device is associated with the second subscription service.

An information processing apparatus includes circuitry configured to display a display screen. The display screen includes a first display or a second display, and a third display. The first display displays, in units of a print job, checking result information obtained by comparing a read result with reference data on an image to be formed on the recording medium. The read result is obtained by reading a recording medium having an image formed. The second display displays, among print jobs, only a print job including a page having at least one abnormality in the image formed on the recording medium based on the checking result information. The third display displays information about the page in the print job including the page having the at least one abnormality and abnormality type information indicating a type of the at least one abnormality present in the page.

A recording apparatus includes: a receiver receiving recording data transmitted from a user; a recording section performing recording on a medium using the recording data; a storage section temporarily storing the recording data until the recording is finished; an output tray to which the medium with the recording finished is outputted; and a controller controlling the recording apparatus. Here, when an index indicating the size of a value of the number of users predicted to congregate near the recording apparatus is a density near the recording apparatus, the controller calculates the density based on information concerning recording data stored in the storage section, and enables the density to be referred to.
